5/21 – DVs 6, Tweeners 5. Visitors jump on Robbie Ray early, Tweeners battle back, finally catch up with an Arenado homer, but a 9th inning mistake by Fernando Rodriguez to Moustakas is the difference. Big Bart Colon picks up the win in relief.
5/22 – DVs 5, Tweeners 2. Tweeners again fall behind early, then catch up, then hand the ball to Fernando, who serves up the 9th inning long ball, this time a 2-run shot by Fowler. Most of the hometown fans had left by then, disgusted by an earlier DV’s “rally” that went E1-SB-TE2-E1, a thinly disguised code which in southern Ky dialect translates to “fuckshit”. W – Eovaldi, S – Nuno.
