NASOMA Batting Heroes

Check out the little project I've been working on: NASOMA Batting Heroes. There's a link on the webpage. I'll be adding a TOP FIVE (or TEN, or something) for the different categories, but for now you can see the year by year stats of some of the best hitters in NASOMA history. Current players have not been added (with the exception of 3 of the ones nearing retirement), but they will be.

The Pitching Heroes page is not ready for publication, but it's coming. If you have suggestions for names to be added (hitting or pitching), please email me. So far, the pitching stats are set to include the ones below, but that's tentative.

Rhinos 6, DVs 4

For all the great statisticians out there – here is a quiz:
Over a 10 game series, one team hit .300, outhomered their opponent by 8 and had an ERA of 3.29; while the other team hit .224 with a team ERA of 6.65- what would you guess the series results were ???
Well the DVs were the second team and ended up actually winning 4 of the 10, with the Rhinos having only 6 wins to show for their overall domination and beatdown of the hapless DVs. The capstone was game 9, when the Rhinos hit 8 homers while winning 21-2 after scoring 8 in the second inning off alleged DV ace Stephen Strasburg.

Rhinos 3, Bees 2

5/13/2018      Rhinos 4 – Bees 3

Roark gets a complete 10 inning game while whiffed 11 batters at the Rhino Reserve where the Rhinos beat the Bees in 10 innings by the score of 3 to 2. The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine innings. The Rhinos won the game in the bottom of 10th inning, when with two outs Bellinger clubbed a solo home run. Dee Gordon goes 3 for 4 with a walk and was Bees hitting star.

5/14/2018      Rhinos 8 – Bees 5

Bellinger again was a horn in the side of the Bees, smacking 2 homeruns enroute to the 8 to 5 win. Along with Bellinger, the Rhino offensive barrage also included a 2 homerun day by Votto, with Marisnick chipping in one for good measure. The Bees only managed 5 hits one of which was a Zimmerman 2-run shot off of the starter L. Castillo. Garcia and Schwarber avoided wearing the Golden Sombrero contributing 6 of the 9 K’s by the Rhino pitching staff.

7/29/2018      Rhinos 1 – Bees 6

Verlander throws a complete game, shutting down the Rhinos allowing just 3 hits and Suzuki went deep and had 2 RBI enroute to the 6 to 1 win. The Rhinos avoided the shutout by a herculean effort by Panik who was able to muscle one out.

7/30/2018      Rhinos 3 – Bees 2

The Rhinos edged the Bees 3 to 2 in a close game. Gray exits after pitching 4 innings giving up 3 runs and leaving the bases loaded with no outs. Rodney enters the game in an unenviable situation to face Panik, who on the first pitch promptly smacks a Rodney fastball directly at SS Turner who is in the shift directly behind second base, he snags the line-drive steps on second and throws a bullet to first for the triple-play!!! Rodney keeps the Bees in the game shutting down the Rhinos pitching 4 innings of 2 hit ball in relief. Benintendi puts the Bees within a run smacking a 2 run homerun in the 6th, but unfortunately, the Bees offense was unable to capitalize due to spectacular defensive plays by Marisnick in the 7th and Hernandez in the 8th robbing the Bees of extra base hits.

7/31/2018      Rhinos 2 – Bees 3

The Bees topped the Rhinos 3 to 2. Nelson pitched well enough to earn the win going 5 innings despite surrending 5 hits and 5 walks. Castillo allowed 4 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. The Rhinos threatened with an Arcia homerun in the bottom of the 9th but their rally came up short.

Fungoes are now 50-46 on the season.

Warpigs 4, Rhinos 1

Netplay.

First 3 games at the Rhino Reserve.

August 12 - Warpigs win 10-3. Aaron Judge hit a 3-run homer in the first inning and a grand slam in the second inning. Adrian Beltre added a 2-run homer later, but the damage was done. Kris Bryant homered for the home team.

August 13 - Warpigs win 6-3. Judge hit two more homers, driving in 4.

August 14 - Warpigs win 8-4. Yes, Aaron Judge hit two MORE homers. He also doubled on a HR 1-9 split roll (he rolled 10). He went 4-5 with 4 rbi. Adam Duvall homered twice for the Rhinos.

Last 2 games at The BallPork.

September 10 - Rhinos win 9-6. The Rhinos were rolling angry. Having lost 8 straight to the Warpigs this season, they got mad and took it out on Jacob deGrom. Six different Rhinos homered - 5 of them before deGrom could exit the field. The Pigs tried to make it interesting when, with almost all the starters having already exited, the subs scored 4 in the bottom of the 9th. Jose Pirela pinch hit a 3-run triple. Oh, and Judge homered again, giving him 7 in 4 games and 43 in 97 games.

September 11 - Warpigs win 3-2 in 16 innings. For the second time this season, the Pigs and Rhinos take 16 innings to decide a game. Earlier this year, the Pigs won a 1-0 game in 16. With Gerritt Cole in control and the Pigs using up more valuable Pigpen innings, the two teams traded out after out after out. In the top of the 16th, Teoscar Hernandez went deep, giving the Rhinos a 2-1 lead. With an extremely tired Cole still on the mound, the Pigs started the inning with two quick outs, bringing up Aaron Judge. Visibly trembling on the mound, both out of fear and the fact that he had thrown 273 pitches, Cole walked Judge. The roll was 1-7; both 1-8 & 1-9 were homers. The steady and reliable Joe Mauer was due, but steady and reliable gave way to someone with N-power just in case we finally rolled 6-9. Jeremy Hazelbaker was called on. He rolled 6-9. Two run, walk off homer. Pigs win! Pigs win! Pigs win! Cole officially went 15.2 innings in the complete game loss, allowing 10 hits and 10 walks while striking out 13.

Also, for the record, the Pigs have, in 98 games, played 10 extra inning games, including games of 15-innings, 16-innings (twice), and 25-innings. Save the Pigs for the end of the season and you might get yourself a forfeit or two. Or even better, a mandatory complete game from Adam Wainwright.

by a score of 4 to 3.

McDale lost it in the 8th inning when Waxahachie did all their damage scoring

from the hometown fans when he electrified the crowd with a Grand Slam home

run.  McDale had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

Pedro Baez(3-1) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Tanner

Warpigs 7, FFTs 4

Via Netplay.

First four at the BallPork

May 27 (Game 1 of the doubleheader) - Warpigs win 5-0. Luis Severino (8-5) tossed a complete game 1-hitter, striking out 11 in the shutout. Aaron Judge hit his 31st homer.

May 27 (Game 2) - Warpigs win 12-4. Jeremy Hazelbaker had a pinch hit, 2-run single, and Jose Pirela had a pinch hit, 3-run double. Tommy Pham went 3-5 with a homer. Jacob deGrom (9-3) went 5 innings to get the win.

May 28 - Warpigs win 5-2. Aaron Judge hit 2 homers and knocked in 3. D.J. Lemahieu drove in the other 2 runs. Rich Hill (3-7) earned the win. Raisel Iglesias got the final out for his 3rd save.

May 29 - FFTs win 7-4. Steven Souza, Miguel Cabrera, and Evan Longoria went deep for the visitors. Pham hit one for the Pigs. The FFTs led 6-0 before the Pigs mounted a minor comeback. The Pigs mounting something from behind is not unheard of.

Next four at The Grove

July 16 - FFTs win 3-2. Chris Taylor went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Jeff Smardzija held the Pig bats down. Jake Lamb homered to lead off the 9th and get the Pigs within 1, but three FFT relievers came on for a third of an inning each, with Jake McGee earning the save by striking out Jose Pirela.

July 17 - Warpigs win 8-4 in 15 innings. In a bizarre game, the teams were tied 4-4 after the top of the 3rd. Then, for the next 11 and a half innings, no one scored. There were plenty of opportunities, though. The Warpigs made a team record 6 errors in the game, including 2 by the 2e14 shortstop on back to back batters, a 2-base error by the 2e1 in LF, and the rare SINGLE and ERROR by the 1e3 at 1b. In the bottom of the 13th, for example, the FFT inning went like this: out, walk, error, error (to load the bases), line out DP. The Pigs finally came thru in the 15th, with Joe Mauer and Jose Pirela both hitting 2-run homers. Kenta Maeda went 14.1 innings for the FFTs, striking out 18, but took the loss. Judge homered in his first two at bats, going 4-6. Pham also homered for the Pigs, and Souza hit another one for the FFTs.

July 18 - FFTs win 8-5. Souza homered twice more, driving in 5. The home team trailed 4-2 in the 6th, but then scored 1 in the 6th before putting a 5-spot on the board in the 7th. Yasiel Puig also homered for the FFTs. Joe Mauer hit one for the Pigs. Both Puig and Mauer had 3-hit days, as did Warpig Adrian Beltre.

July 19 - Warpigs win 4-2. Rich Hill (4-7) went 7 strong innings, striking out 10. Judge hit another long ball. Sean Doolittle earned the save.

Last 3 at The BallPork

September 12 - Warpigs win 3-2. Aaron Judge broke a 2-2 tie in the 8th inning with a run-scoring single. Jake Odorizzi (8-5) outdueled Trevor Williams, allowing only 4 hits over 8 innings. Jose Peraza homered for the FFTs. Ezequiel Carrera led off the 1st with a solo shot for the Pigs. Doolittle got another save.

September 13 - Warpigs win 6-3. Jeremy Hazelbaker tripled in 2 runs, and Christian Yelich tacked on a 2-run homer late in the game to salt away the victory. Danny Duffy (5-5) did just enough to earn the win. Souza hit yet another bomb for the FFTs.

September 14 - FFTs win 2-0. Kenta Maeda tossed a complete game, 4-hit shutout, walking only 1 and striking out 9. Steven Souza hit his 6th home run in the last 8 games to account for all the scoring. Note of interest... Ichiro Suzuki led off the game with a single and was immediately replaced with a pinch runner to a long standing ovation from the appreciative BallPork patrons. This was Ichiro's final appearance, having already announced his retirement. He spent all 17 of his NASOMA years with the FFTs, who took him as an uncarded player in 2001.

The FFTs complete their season, going 83-79.

Inmates 8, Mavs 2

Inmates 8 – Mavs 2 (human-managed computer)

Inmates 5 – Mavs 0 (Baptist Bowl): Wood tossed a three-hit shutout and Santana continued his torrid hitting with another homer.

Mavs 16 – Inmates 8 (Baptist Bowl): The Revenge of the Mavs. After generating no offense whatsoever in the series opener the Rastafarians put up a five-spot before allowing the Inmates to come to bat. Although the Inmates clawed back to get within 10-7, the Mavs put the spurs to the offense and put the Baptist Bowl Choralaires out of their misery. Harper hit two of the Mavs’ five spuds. Santana homered for the fourth consecutive game for the Inmates.

Inmates 5 – Mavs 3 (Baptist Bowl): A tie game until Rizzo hit a two-run homer for the Inmates in the 8th. Pazos took the loss. Yonder “Babe” Alonzo jacked one for the MavMen.

Inmates 8 – Mavs 7 (RastaDome): Santana hit two more homers, the Inmates managed a run via small-ball in the 8th to break a 7-7 tie, and the Mavs lost another close game.

Mavs 6 – Inmates 3 (RastaDome): “Babe” Alonzo’s three-run tater in the 7th broke a 3-3 tie and iced the game for the Mavs. Bradley (twice) and Correa also homered for the Rastafarians.

Inmates 6 – Mavs 5 (Baptist Bowl): The fourth consecutive close game was won by the Inmates in the 7th when Rosario hit his second solo homer of the game to break a 5-5 tie.

Inmates 5 – Mavs 3 (Baptist Bowl): Martinez and Santana homered for the Inmates, who built a 5-0 lead and then hung on for the win. Lamet pitched a complete game for the Mavs.

Inmates 9 – Mavs 4 (RastaDome): A close 5-4 game was blown open in the 9th when the Inmates put a four-spot on the board. Martinez and the torrid Santana were among the Inmates to spud. Chirinos drove in three of the Mavs’ runs.

Inmates 10 – Mavs 9 (RastaDome): The misery continued for the Mavs when Wilson Ramos hit his second homer of the game in the 9th to break a 9-9 tie. Three Mav homers were wasted in the loss.

Inmates 6 – Mavs 3 (RastaDome): The series finale changed nothing for the Mavs, as the Inmates built a 6-0 lead after three innings and then coasted. Segura and Cespedes homered for the Beakless Chicken Gang, while the Inmate bullpen pitched a perfect 7th, 8th, and 9th.

Warpigs 6, Nads 4

NetPlay

Game 1 - Nads win 5-0. R.A. Dickey with the shutout. Starlin Castro homered.

Game 2 - Warpigs win 1-0. Aaron Judge singles in a 1st inning run and Adam Wainwright does the rest, earning a rare shutout.

Game 3 - Warpigs win 5-2. Jacob deGrom gets the win. Joe Mauer had 3 hits, scored 2, and drove in 2.

Game 4 - Nads win 4-0. Another shutout, this one by Jose Urena and five Nad relievers.

Game 5 - Warpigs win 6-1. A Tommy Pham 3-run homer helped Waino to another win.

Game 6 - Warpigs win 4-2. The Pigs scored 4 in the 4th, thanks in part to a 2-run shot from Christian Yelich. Jacob deGrom threw 8 shutout innings before calling it a day.

Game 7 - Warpigs win 6-2. Roberto Perez hit a 2nd inning Grand Slam.

Game 8 - Nads win 5-3. The Nads scored 3 runs in the 9th inning for the come from behind win.

Game 9 - Warpigs win 6-5 in 25 innings. Yep, that's not a typo. 25 innings. A new league record for the longest game, and it was epic. Actually, it was mostly epic failure. The Nads and Pigs traded leads early, but finished the 9th tied at 3. The Nads scored a run in the 12th on a walk, a "runner held" single, and a sac fly. But the Warpigs tied it in the bottom of the inning when pinch hitter Jeremy Hazelbaker doubled with 2 out to score Joe Mauer. Many many outs later, Jose Ramirez led off the 25th inning with a solo homer to put the Nads back up. In the bottom of the 25th, Roberto Perez singled and Christian Yelich followed with a double (just missing the walkoff homer roll). With Pham due up and nobody out, the Nads turned to Jhoulys Chacin (despite his SP-only status). Looking back on it now, maybe the Nads intended to bring in Urena, who was still available. Anyway, Chacin strikes out Pham, but Ezequiel Carrerra dumps a single into left-center to score both runners and end the game, sending the remaining 14 fans home happy.

Notables from the game...

  • The Nads had 20 hits in 92 official at bats. They struck out 26 times and left 24 men on base. The ABs, the Ks, and the LOB are most likely all NASOMA records. Besides Stroman's 8 innings of work to start the game, Brandon McCarthy tossed 6.1 no hit innings, and Joe Biagini followed him with 6 innings of 2-hit shutout ball. The two of them combined for 12.1 straight innings of 2-hit shutout ball before Brandon Kintzler was aroused from a deep sleep and promptly shat the bed.
  • The Warpigs only managed 10 hits in their 25 innings, with Corey Seager (0-10), Pham (0-8), Lemahieu (1-9), and Judge (1-8) all deciding to suck at the same time. The Pigs used 7 different batters in the 5-hole during the game, including 3 SPs to pinch bunt. The other 4 all played 3b, with Jose Pirela ready to make it 5 third basemen - but he never got into the game. Severino threw the first 7 innings, but of the 7 relievers, Adam Warren threw 5, and Ryan Buchter - the star of the game and the last pitcher available - threw the final 7.1, the last two tired, to earn the much deserved win.
  • The BallPork in Hooterville has no lights, but some of the players pulled their cars around to shine a little light on the field. There were a lot of dead car batteries after the game.
  • Innings 16 thru 22 were played despite a torrential downpour, with neither team refusing to postpone. It's okay, though. We really needed the rain.

Game 10 - Nads win 4-0. The third Nad shutout of the day was fairly anti-climactic after the marathon, except for the fact that the guy throwing the shutout (Chacin) had just blown a save the day before. Another NASOMA first.

Inmates 7, Sidewinders 3

Inmates 7 – Sidewinders 3: NASOMA’s Ecumenical Series (cards and dice)

Inmates 8 – Sidewinders 4 (Baptist Bowl): Still reeling from the effects of their “Where in the World is Carmen San Diego” imitation, the Snakes lost quickly and quietly to the Beakless Chicken Gang. Rizzo hit a three-run homer in the 5th to seal the result.

Inmates 5 – Sidewinders 3 (Baptist Bowl): A closer game but the same result. Santana continued his hot-hitting ways with another homer, while the Inmate bullpen kept things in check.

Inmates 6 – Sidewinders 3 (Church Lot): Four Inmate homers carried the day, despite feeble attempts by the Snakes to mount a comeback in the late innings. Bauer took the loss.

Inmates 8 – Sidewinders 2 (Church Lot): Rizzo hit two homers and drove in five runs, and Manaea pitched well to continue the misery for the world-traveling Slithering Reptiles. A three-run Inmate 7th put away any hope the Snakes had of catching up.

Sidewinders 3 – Inmates 2 (12 innings – Church Lot): A Gregorius error lead to the Inmates tying the game at 2-2 in the 8th. The Battle of the Bullpens was won by the Snakes when they burned Bradley for two hits, two walks, and a run in the 12th for their first win of the series.

At this point a break in the action was agreed upon by both teams, as it was 1:30 in the fucking morning and cogent thought processes were no longer possible. Game 6 began Sunday morning after the Snakes attended Mass en masse.

Sidewinders 4 – Inmates 3 (Baptist Bowl): Seemingly rejuvenated after morning religious services and prodigious quantities of fat, sodium, cholesterol and nitrates at Harold Waite’s Pancake and Steak House, the Snakes built a 4-0 lead and then hung on to extend their winning streak to two. The Inmates scored in the 9th to close the lead to 4-3 and had the tying run at second base but the Snake bullpen prevailed.

Inmates 6 – Sidewinders 1 (Baptist Bowl): Bregman and Rizzo both hit two-run homers in the 5th to seal the game for the Beakless Chicken Gang. The Sidewinders scored their lone run in the 8th when someone homered.

Inmates 4 - Sidewinders 2 (Baptist Bowl): Through five innings the two teams had combined for four hits, all of which were solo homeruns. The Inmates scored two more in the 6th without homering for the win. Go figure.

Inmates 3 – Sidewinders 2 (10 innings – Church Lot): The Sidewinders scored a pair of runs in the 1st before their offense totally shut down. The Inmates weren’t much better, but Martinez homered in the 10th to end the misery for both teams.

Sidewinders 4 – Inmates 3 (15 innings – Church Lot): In a near-repeat of the previous game, the offenses went comatose until Bradley repeated his inability to hang in games in extra innings. The Sidewinders salvage the series closer after both teams burn through their bullpens.

Sidewinders 9, FFTs 1

This is probably as much detail as you will get on this series.

Rhinos 5, Inmates 2

Rhinos 5 – Inmates 2 (dice and cards)

Rhinos 13 – Inmates 2 (The Reserve): A game which portended the rest of the series. The Horned-Wonders blasted Manaea for ten runs, building a 6-0 lead before the Inmates recorded their first hit of the game. A six-run Rhino 7th added to the lopsided shitfest. Three Rhinos went deep in the game. The LDMF managed four hits off of Roark.

Inmates 7 – Rhinos 5 (The Reserve): A back-and-forth game finally settled when Santana hit a two-run homer in the Inmate 9th off of Vizcaino. Nunez homered twice for the Beakless Chicken Gang.

Rhinos 5 – Inmates 4 (The Reserve): The Rhinos out-homered the Inmates 2-1 while Alvarado recorded a one-out save to give the Endangered Ones a 2-1 series lead.

Rhinos 4 – Inmates 2 (Doubleheader Game 1 – Baptist Bowl): Wood allowed only six hits, but three are still orbiting the earth as the Rhino power rampage continued. Martinez hit a two-run blast for the Inmates in the 4th, which prevented the ignominy of being shutout.

Inmates 4 – Rhinos 3 (Doubleheader Game 2 – Baptist Bowl): Quintana lasted 3 2/3 before mercifully being lifted for a more effective paraplegic geriatric transsexual with Parkinson’s disease. The Inmate bullpen held off the Rhino bats for the Beakless Chicken Gang’s last win of the series.

Rhinos 3 – LDMF 1 (Baptist Bowl): Only a Santana solo homer with two outs in the bottom of the 9th kept the LDMF from being totally white-washed. Manaea struck out thirteen in seven innings while allowing only four hits, but it didn’t matter as the denizens of the Bible Belt suffered from incurable cancer-bat.

Rhinos 12 – LDMF 3 (Baptist Bowl): Martinez and Shaw hit solo homers in the 2nd to give the Hitless Wonders an early 2-0 lead. Davies allowed solo homers in the 4th, 5th, and 6th to allow the Rhinos to take the lead. The usually stellar Inmate bullpen came in to make the game a laugher, allowing nine runs between the 7th and 8th to blow the game open. Santana once again homered for the LDMF in the 9th, but by then no one cared.

Sidewinders 4, Warpigs 1

Cards and Dice

Game 1 - Sidewinders win 5-2. I have no idea what happened in this game. Pigs struck out a lot. Snakes didn't. Chris Sale allowed only 2 hits (both homers) over 6 innings.

Game 2 - Sidewinders win 12-9. Again, the details are vague. I do know we trailed 11-1 before I had my lineup written down. Back to back errors in the first inning led to five unearned runs. A triple play helped avoid another big inning. Pigs had a little success against the slackers in the Snake bullpen to make it close. It turns out that was intentional on the Snakeman's part to get Kimbrel another save. Fuckin' Sidewinders.

Game 3 - Warpigs win 8-5. Lemahieu went 4-5 and Judge homered for the second game in a row.

Game 4 - Sidewinders win 3-1. Sale struck out 14 in 8 innings, allowing only 3 hits (all singles). Adam Wainwright was the starting DH for the Pigs and batted 2nd - and he was the only starter who didn't strike out. Of course.

Game 5 - Sidewinders win 5-3. Didi Gregorious can suck my balls.

Every game was decided by 3 runs or fewer, but it felt like we got blown out 5 times. Now I'm GLAD you had to sleep without your damn CPAP!

Nads 6, Wahoos 4

WAHOOS 4 – NADS 6

NADS 3 at WAHOOS 2

May 11th - Castro was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense.  He ripped a solo home run in the 1st inning, laced
a single in the 3rd inning, blasted a solo shot in the 7th inning and slapped
a base-hit in the 9th inning.  Chicago had 18 hits for the afternoon while
SGP had 7.

May 12th – Game 1 – Wahoos crushed the Chicago Nads 16 to 5. Gallo was in a groove all day.  He lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 1st
inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 6th inning and
slapped a base-hit scoring a run in the 7th inning.  SGP bats were very
productive in the 1st inning which saw them score 11 runs on 11 hits.
Chicago was out-hit by SGP, 22 hits to 11.

May 12th – Game 2 - Logan Morrison knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at The Reservation where the Chicago Nads beat the SGP Wahoos by the score of 9 to 6. Morrison had a big evening at the plate.  He smacked a single in the 2nd
inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 3rd inning and smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 6th inning.  Even though they scored in 5
different innings, SGP was not able to pull off the win.

August 7th - Left fielder Marcell Ozuna collected 2 extra-base hits and had 3 RBI at The
Reservation where the SGP Wahoos beat the Chicago Nads 7 to 2.

August 8th - Second baseman Brian Dozier launched 2 homeruns at The Reservation as the
Chicago Nads beat the SGP Wahoos in 10 innings 6 to 5.
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings.  Chicago ended up
winning it in the 10th inning.

WAHOOS 2 at NADS 3
June 29th - R.A. Dickey(2-3) and Kyle Gibson(0-2) locked horns in
a pitcher's duel with Dickey and the Chicago Nads coming out on
top of the SGP Wahoos 2 to 0. Chicago jumped out to the early lead
in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 4 base hits.  That
was all the runs Dickey needed.  Neither team managed to score after
the 1st inning.

June 30th - Jaime Garcia blanked SGP allowing just 3 hits at The Ball Sack as the Chicago Nads beat the SGP Wahoos 8 to 0.

July 1st - One run was the difference at The Ball Sack as the Chicago Nads defeated the SGP Wahoos 3 to 2.

August 18th - Third baseman Kyle Seager rocketed 2 homeruns and
had 4 RBI as the SGP Wahoos defeated the Chicago Nads 7 to 6 at
The Ball Sack. Seager was unconscious all day.  The Chicago fans
hated to see him approaching the batter's box as he just kept
delivering base hits! He launched a three-run homer in the 3rd
inning, delivered a base-hit in the 5th inning,ripped a solo
home run in the 7th inning and ripped a single in the 9th
inning.

August 19th - The SGP Wahoos edged the Chicago Nads in 10 innings
at The Ball Sack by the score of 4 to 3.The score was tied at 3
after nine.  SGP won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning.

Nads 3, Bees 2

Bees 2 AT NADS 3
Four of the five games were won by one run.
May 5th - The Chicago Nads and the Nashville Killer Bees locked up in an exciting
one-run game at The Ball Sack.  The final score was the Chicago Nads 6, the
Nashville Killer Bees 5.

May 6th - The Chicago Nads defeated the Nashville Killer Bees by a score of 5 to 2 at
The Ball Sack.
May 7th - One run was the difference at The Ball Sack as the Nashville Killer Bees
defeated the Chicago Nads 9 to 8.

July 11th - One run was the difference at The Ball Sack as the Nashville Killer Bees
defeated the Chicago Nads 4 to 3.
July 12th -The winning run, and the only run, was scored by Chicago in the 4th inning.
David Peralta drew a walk.  Albert Almora Jr got his turn next, but he was a
strikeout victim.  Logan Morrison then lashed a single.  Jose Iglesias
stepped in and he would hit into a force play scoring the run.  For the game
Chicago out-hit Nashville 8 to 3.
