FFTs Pick Up Yet Another Dodger
The FFTs traded Jose Peraza and the Driller 8th round pick to the Warpigs for Rich Hill and the Pig 6th.

Nashville weekend games...
At The Beehive
Gm1 - Warpigs win 13-2. Corey Seager and D.J. Lemahieu both had 3 hits, with D.J. driving in 5. Christian Yelich homered for the Pigs.
Gm2 - Warpigs win 4-2. Beltre continued his tirade against the Mullen brothers, hitting homers in the 7th and 8th innings. The go ahead runs scored on a pinch hit, clutch single by Jose Pirela.
At The BallPork
Gm3 - Bees win 11-8. The Bees led 10-1 in the 4th, and the Pigs emptied the bench. The Bees had to then hang on as the Pigs came back to make a game of it, leaving the bases loaded in the 9th. Adam Wainwright went 2-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs, and an RBI for the Pigs.

Gm2 - Warpigs win 7-6. The Pigs overcame a 6-2 deficit with unearned runs in the 7th and 8th, both on errors by that SOB Jed Lowrie, who was paying the price for messing up the no-hitter yesterday.
Gm3 - Sidewinders win 4-3. It was the Snakes' turn to come from behind, scoring 2 in the 7th to tie the game, and then getting the walk-off winner in the 9th by Justin Upton. Beltre, who loves playing the Sidewinders, homered for the 2nd straight game.

Gm2 - Warpigs win 6-1. Beltre, who had quite a weekend, hit a 3-run homer. J.T. Realmuto lit up Kershaw with a double and two triples. Luis Severino went 6 strong innings for the win.
Gm3 - Fungoes win 5-3. The Pigs scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning, and then shut down. Dan Straily was too much for the Pigs today.

Gm4 - Fungoes win 5-4 in 11 innings. Sheesh. D.J. Lemahieu's error in the 11th led to the winning run. It was his 3rd error in 4 games. The boy ain't focused. Seager homered again for the Pigs.

Warpigs 5, Goofs 0
Pigs finish off the Goofs, going 9-1 for the season with the Disney gang. Both parks are 0/0,0/0, so offense was difficult to come by.
Game 1 - Pigs win 3-2. The Pigs scored 2 in the 7th to untie the game, and then held off the Goofs in the 9th. Jon Jay went 3-3.
Game 2 - Pigs win 6-0. Danny Duffy threw a 6-hit shutout. Adrian Beltre went 3-4 with a 2-run double (just missed the Grand Slam - and then the runner from first was thrown out at the plate.)

Inmates 6, Warpigs 4
Inmates 6 – Warpigs 4 (cards and dice)
Pigs 7 – Inmates 2 (Baptist
Bowl): A five-spot in the 5th (including a pair of homers)
gave the Pigs all they needed in a game that shouldn’t have been as close as it
was. The Porcine Pack continually squandered scoring opportunities and probably
should have scored fifteen. The LDMF showed up and had their buttocks pummeled.
Corey Seager and J.T. Realmuto had the Pig homers. Wainwright got the win. Pigs left 14 men on base; the Inmates only reached base 7 times.
Pigs 4 – Inmates 3 (15
innings – Baptist Bowl): A Santana homer in the Inmate 7th
was the last of the scoring for both teams, allowing the Pigs to show off their
propensity for playing extra-inning games. AJ Ramos allowed a tater to some nameless
bastard in the 15th to give the Porkers a lead, and then the LDMF
made another appearance in the bottom of the inning when the Inmates put two on
but couldn’t score.
Tommy Pham hit the winning homer. Raisel Iglesias was the hero, going 4 innings of shutout relief. Carl Edwards got the win and Adam Warren the save. Pigs are 9-2 now in extra inning games. Six of those eleven games have gone 15 innings or longer.
Inmates 4 – Pigs 2 (Baptist
Bowl): Still another show of offensive ineptitude, which came to an end
when Santana hit a two-out three-run walk-off spud off of Doolittle to finally
allow the Beakless Chicken to do the Eye-Gouge.
Jacob deGrom went 8 innings, allowing 3 hits and no walks while striking out 10. I have no idea why I pulled him for the 9th.
Inmates 7 – Pigs 5
(Ballpork): After going 0-for the first three games of the series,
Altuve exploded for a pair of doubles, a homer and five ribbies to lead the
Beakless Chicken Gang.
Adrian Beltre and Aaron Judge homered for the good guys.
Inmates 3 – Pigs 1
(Ballpork): Quintana and a pair of relievers held the Porcine Wonders
to only four hits, while Altuve continued his unconsciousness with three RBI
singles.
I hate to correct the HEAD INMATE, but the final score of this game was 2-1. Little Mr. Altuve did have three singles, but only two of them scored runs. Judge homered for the only Pig run.
Pigs 4 – Inmates 3 (Baptist
Bowl): Yet another close game, with the PigPen totally shutting down
the Beakless Bastards. The home teams continually had problems throughout the
day, as only one game out of ten was won by the hosts.
Beltre and Christian Yelich went back-to-back with homers in the 3rd inning. The deciding run scored in the 8th when Judge led off with a triple and Seager came thru with a 2-out single to put the Pigs ahead.
Pigs 16 – Inmates 3 (Baptist
Bowl): Nothing close here, as the Pigs jumped out to a 15-0 lead before
the LDMF got their first hit. One thing of interest (since the game sucked for
the home faithful): the Pigs managed all of their runs despite K’ing fifteen
times and hitting into a DP.
The one and only fun game of the whole day... The Pigs scored 4 in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd, and 6 in the 4th to jump to a quick 15-0 lead. The Pigs had 16 hits and 8 walks to counter those 15 Ks. Jake Lamb was 4-4 with 2 walks. He scored 3 and drove in 4. Tommy Pham homered and doubled before taking an early exit from the game.
Inmates 4 – Pigs 1
(Ballpork): Manaea out-dueled Severino for an Inmate win. Castro
homered for the winners.

Inmates 2 – Pigs 1 (Ballpork): In a bizarre twist, both managers
pulled their starting pitchers (Salazar and Odorizzi) at the end of the 5th
inning despite both tossing one-hit shutouts. An unearned run capped the Inmate
7th, which turned out to be the winning run. The LDMF managed only
four hits in the win.
It's pretty sad when, faced with a 2-1 deficit in the 9th, with runners at 1st and 2nd and 2 outs, you're forced to bring Adam Wainwright in to pinch hit.
Inmates 5 – Pigs 3
(Ballpork): Cespedes hit a grand-slam in the 3rd and the
Inmates held on to take the series finale. Starting in the 4th, the
Pigs changed pitchers every inning to shut down the Inmates on no hits and two
walks. Each of the six relievers also recorded a single strikeout.
Well, that's almost accurate. Actually the last 2 of the 6 relievers, who each threw exactly one inning, had 2 strikeouts each. But yeah, deGrom's uncharacteristic bad start signaled an opportunity to get him some rest, so the bullpen worked the rest of the game as if it were an All Star game, going one inning each - and not allowing a hit in the process. The Pigs made the Inmates sweat a little with a 3-run 8th that saw 6 consecutive hitters reach base - and all that happened off of Bradley and Green. But it was too little, too late.
Understanding that this will sound a LOT like the HEAD INMATE, the Pigs outscored the Inmates (44-38) and out hit them (87-69). We even out walked them (45-28). The Inmates did have more homers, but it was only a 10-9 difference. Alas, we just couldn't get the right hits at the right time, and lost the series.

First 3 games at the Rhino Reserve.
August 12 - Warpigs win 10-3. Aaron Judge hit a 3-run homer in the first inning and a grand slam in the second inning. Adrian Beltre added a 2-run homer later, but the damage was done. Kris Bryant homered for the home team.
August 13 - Warpigs win 6-3. Judge hit two more homers, driving in 4.
August 14 - Warpigs win 8-4. Yes, Aaron Judge hit two MORE homers. He also doubled on a HR 1-9 split roll (he rolled 10). He went 4-5 with 4 rbi. Adam Duvall homered twice for the Rhinos.

September 10 - Rhinos win 9-6. The Rhinos were rolling angry. Having lost 8 straight to the Warpigs this season, they got mad and took it out on Jacob deGrom. Six different Rhinos homered - 5 of them before deGrom could exit the field. The Pigs tried to make it interesting when, with almost all the starters having already exited, the subs scored 4 in the bottom of the 9th. Jose Pirela pinch hit a 3-run triple. Oh, and Judge homered again, giving him 7 in 4 games and 43 in 97 games.
September 11 - Warpigs win 3-2 in 16 innings. For the second time this season, the Pigs and Rhinos take 16 innings to decide a game. Earlier this year, the Pigs won a 1-0 game in 16. With Gerritt Cole in control and the Pigs using up more valuable Pigpen innings, the two teams traded out after out after out. In the top of the 16th, Teoscar Hernandez went deep, giving the Rhinos a 2-1 lead. With an extremely tired Cole still on the mound, the Pigs started the inning with two quick outs, bringing up Aaron Judge. Visibly trembling on the mound, both out of fear and the fact that he had thrown 273 pitches, Cole walked Judge. The roll was 1-7; both 1-8 & 1-9 were homers. The steady and reliable Joe Mauer was due, but steady and reliable gave way to someone with N-power just in case we finally rolled 6-9. Jeremy Hazelbaker was called on. He rolled 6-9. Two run, walk off homer. Pigs win! Pigs win! Pigs win! Cole officially went 15.2 innings in the complete game loss, allowing 10 hits and 10 walks while striking out 13.
Also, for the record, the Pigs have, in 98 games, played 10 extra inning games, including games of 15-innings, 16-innings (twice), and 25-innings. Save the Pigs for the end of the season and you might get yourself a forfeit or two. Or even better, a mandatory complete game from Adam Wainwright.

Also, for the record, the Pigs have, in 98 games, played 10 extra inning games, including games of 15-innings, 16-innings (twice), and 25-innings. Save the Pigs for the end of the season and you might get yourself a forfeit or two. Or even better, a mandatory complete game from Adam Wainwright.

May 27 (Game 1 of the doubleheader) - Warpigs win 5-0. Luis Severino (8-5) tossed a complete game 1-hitter, striking out 11 in the shutout. Aaron Judge hit his 31st homer.
May 27 (Game 2) - Warpigs win 12-4. Jeremy Hazelbaker had a pinch hit, 2-run single, and Jose Pirela had a pinch hit, 3-run double. Tommy Pham went 3-5 with a homer. Jacob deGrom (9-3) went 5 innings to get the win.
May 28 - Warpigs win 5-2. Aaron Judge hit 2 homers and knocked in 3. D.J. Lemahieu drove in the other 2 runs. Rich Hill (3-7) earned the win. Raisel Iglesias got the final out for his 3rd save.
May 29 - FFTs win 7-4. Steven Souza, Miguel Cabrera, and Evan Longoria went deep for the visitors. Pham hit one for the Pigs. The FFTs led 6-0 before the Pigs mounted a minor comeback. The Pigs mounting something from behind is not unheard of.

July 16 - FFTs win 3-2. Chris Taylor went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Jeff Smardzija held the Pig bats down. Jake Lamb homered to lead off the 9th and get the Pigs within 1, but three FFT relievers came on for a third of an inning each, with Jake McGee earning the save by striking out Jose Pirela.

Yasiel Puig also homered for the FFTs. Joe Mauer hit one for the Pigs. Both Puig and Mauer had 3-hit days, as did Warpig Adrian Beltre.
July 19 - Warpigs win 4-2. Rich Hill (4-7) went 7 strong innings, striking out 10. Judge hit another long ball. Sean Doolittle earned the save.

Jose Peraza homered for the FFTs. Ezequiel Carrera led off the 1st with a solo shot for the Pigs. Doolittle got another save.
September 13 - Warpigs win 6-3. Jeremy Hazelbaker tripled in 2 runs, and Christian Yelich tacked on a 2-run homer late in the game to salt away the victory. Danny Duffy (5-5) did just enough to earn the win. Souza hit yet another bomb for the FFTs.
September 14 - FFTs win 2-0. Kenta Maeda tossed a complete game, 4-hit shutout, walking only 1 and striking out 9. Steven Souza hit his 6th home run in the last 8 games to account for all the scoring. Note of interest... Ichiro Suzuki led off the game with a single and was immediately replaced with a pinch runner to a long standing ovation from the appreciative BallPork patrons. This was Ichiro's final appearance, having already announced his retirement. He spent all 17 of his NASOMA years with the FFTs, who took him as an uncarded player in 2001.

Game 4 - Nads win 4-0. Another shutout, this one by Jose Urena and five Nad relievers.
Game 5 - Warpigs win 6-1. A Tommy Pham 3-run homer helped Waino to another win.
Game 6 - Warpigs win 4-2. The Pigs scored 4 in the 4th, thanks in part to a 2-run shot from Christian Yelich. Jacob deGrom threw 8 shutout innings before calling it a day.

The Nads and Pigs traded leads early, but finished the 9th tied at 3. The Nads scored a run in the 12th on a walk, a "runner held" single, and a sac fly. But the Warpigs tied it in the bottom of the inning when pinch hitter Jeremy Hazelbaker doubled with 2 out to score Joe Mauer. Many many outs later, Jose Ramirez led off the 25th inning with a solo homer to put the Nads back up. In the bottom of the 25th, Roberto Perez singled and Christian Yelich followed with a double (just missing the walkoff homer roll). With Pham due up and nobody out, the Nads turned to Jhoulys Chacin (despite his SP-only status). Looking back on it now, maybe the Nads intended to bring in Urena, who was still available. Anyway, Chacin strikes out Pham, but Ezequiel Carrerra dumps a single into left-center to score both runners and end the game, sending the remaining 14 fans home happy.

- The Nads had 20 hits in 92 official at bats. They struck out 26 times and left 24 men on base. The ABs, the Ks, and the LOB are most likely all NASOMA records. Besides Stroman's 8 innings of work to start the game, Brandon McCarthy tossed 6.1 no hit innings, and Joe Biagini followed him with 6 innings of 2-hit shutout ball. The two of them combined for 12.1 straight innings of 2-hit shutout ball before Brandon Kintzler was aroused from a deep sleep and promptly shat the bed.
- The Warpigs only managed 10 hits in their 25 innings, with Corey Seager (0-10), Pham (0-8), Lemahieu (1-9), and Judge (1-8) all deciding to suck at the same time. The Pigs used 7 different batters in the 5-hole during the game, including 3 SPs to pinch bunt. The other 4 all played 3b, with Jose Pirela ready to make it 5 third basemen - but he never got into the game. Severino threw the first 7 innings, but of the 7 relievers, Adam Warren threw 5, and Ryan Buchter - the star of the game and the last pitcher available - threw the final 7.1, the last two tired, to earn the much deserved win.
- The BallPork in Hooterville has no lights, but some of the players pulled their cars around to shine a little light on the field. There were a lot of dead car batteries after the game.
- Innings 16 thru 22 were played despite a torrential downpour, with neither team refusing to postpone. It's okay, though. We really needed the rain.

Sidewinders 4, Warpigs 1
Cards and Dice
Game 1 - Sidewinders win 5-2. I have no idea what happened in this game. Pigs struck out a lot. Snakes didn't. Chris Sale allowed only 2 hits (both homers) over 6 innings.
Game 2 - Sidewinders win 12-9. Again, the details are vague. I do know we trailed 11-1 before I had my lineup written down. Back to back errors in the first inning led to five unearned runs. A triple play helped avoid another big inning. Pigs had a little success against the slackers in the Snake bullpen to make it close. It turns out that was intentional on the Snakeman's part to get Kimbrel another save. Fuckin' Sidewinders.
Game 3 - Warpigs win 8-5. Lemahieu went 4-5 and Judge homered for the second game in a row.

Wahoos 2, Warpigs 2

Game 1 - Wahoos win 8-2. Severino gets blasted for 7 runs in 3 innings. Homers by K.Seager, Gallo, Wieters, and Pedroia for the Hoos. Judge hits one for the Warpigs. Mengden gets the win.
Game 2 - Warpigs win 7-4. Four more homers by the Hoos (all solo shots) by N.Williams, K.Davis, Ozuna, and K.Seager (again). Judge hits another for the Pigs. But the star of the game was little used David Freese. Making a rare start vs a RHP, Freese went 3-3 with 2 homers and a walk. Jacob deGrom went a quick 7 for the win, with the bullpen just barely avoiding implosion for the last two.
Game 3 - Wahoos win 8-6. The Wahoos hit ANOTHER four homers (Rupp, K.Seager (fuck him) and N.Williams, who hit 2). The 8-1 early lead resulted in the Warpigs pulling some guys for rest. And, of course, THEN we have a 5-run inning to make it interesting. Jacob deGrom, who entered as an AB-saving DH, led the way, going 2-2 with an RBI. But thanks to some crappy hitting with runners on, the rally fell short.
Game 4 - Warpigs win 4-3. Let me just tell you, Kyle Seager is a bitch. He homered for the 4th straight game, going 3-5 off of Danny Duffy, who (supposedly) allows NOTHING to left-handed batters. Tell that to Seager, though, who was just showing little brother how it's done. Little brother did nothing except striking out three times, grounding into a double play, and continuously letting ground balls roll past him untouched. Somehow, though, the Warpigs, thanks to a 2-run shot from Yelich, evened up the series. Duffy got the win; Doolittle the save.

May 5 @ BabyArm Park - Weevils win 6-2. Anthony Rendon and Corey Dickerson both homered to back the pitching of Cory Kluber.
May 6 @ BabyArm Park - Weevils win 6-5 in 11 innings. The Weevils scored 4 first inning runs, but the Pigs battled back to take a 5-4 lead. One out away from evening the series, Corey Seager made a 2-base error to tie the game. The Weevils won it in the bottom of the 10th.
May 7 @ BabyArm Park - Weevils win 5-4. This time it was the Warpigs with an early 4-run inning and the Weevils battling back. The home team took the lead for good in the bottom of the 8th with back to back solo shots from Goldschmidt and Machado. The Pigs had a chance to tie it in the top of the 9th, but missed a 1-15 double.

Warpigs 5, Rhinos 0
It was not a happy Cinco de Mayo for the Rinoceronte against the Guerra de Cerdo.
Game 1 @ The Rhino Reserve - Warpigs win 4-3. In retrospect, this game was the offensive extravaganza of the series. The Rhinos scored single runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings, the latter coming on a BP homer (1-5) by Cody Bellinger. The Pigs' Corey Seager doubled home a run in the 4th to close the gap, and then Aaron Judge homered to lead off the 6th to tie the game at 2. The Pigs followed with 2 more runs in the 6th - both unearned - to take a 4-2 lead. Game 2 @ The Rhino Reserve - Warpigs win 2-1. Tommy Pham's 2-out single brought in the winning run in the top of the 7th. Raisel Iglesias (6-0) got the win in relief. Steve Cishek came on to get his 10th save.
Game 3 @ The BallPork - Warpigs win 1-0 in 16 fucking innings. Thanks to Luis Castillo and Jacob deGrom, neither team (obviously) could generate any offense. The two teams' cleanup-hitting first basemen (Votto and Mauer) combined to go 0-for-13. The Pigs did have some chances. J.T. Realmuto tripled with 2 outs in the 7th. In the 8th, the Pigs loaded the bases with 1 out, but a 3-6-3 grounder ended the inning. Even more frustrating was the bottom of the 9th. Adrian Beltre led off with a walk. Seager was next and lofted a flyball to the sure-handed Jake Marisnick in cf (1e5), but he dropped the ball for a 2-base error. But, of course, the next 4 batters went K, LO, HBP, K. Seager finally ended the game with a 16th inning HR. Iglesias (7-0) gets another win in relief.
Game 4 @ The BallPork - Warpigs win 4-0. There was still a lid on the basket for the Rhinos, getting only 4 hits. Joe Mauer hit a solo homer in the 6th to break up another scoreless battle. The fact that Mauer has W-power weighed on the mind of the Rhino manager, and when he loomed on deck in the next inning, with runners at 2nd & 3rd and Aaron Judge up with 2-outs, the intentional walk that had already happened twice in the series was eschewed. The fear of Mauer's awesome power (and maybe his clutch hits and lefty bat) resulted in pitches thrown to the Judge, who deposited one of them onto the roof of the Western Metal Supply Company. Jake Odorizzi had a perfect game thru 4, but chose the 5th inning to allow his only hit and his only 2 walks... and that tired him. COME ON!!! So yeah, he exited with a 4-1 lead in the 5th inning... none too happy. Iglesias (8-0) was awarded the win.
The Rhinos scored 1 unearned run in 34 innings at the BallPork. In the 5 game series (52 innings) , the Rhinos only scored 5 runs (4 earned) on 29 hits. They hit .165. The Pigs weren't much better with the bats, hitting .205, although they did draw 29 walks and got hit by the pitch 7 times (4 by Pham). Despite rolling in his column in half of his ABs, Realmuto's triple in game 3 was his only hit in 19 tries. Bellinger was 2-21 with no walks for the Rhinos.

Game 2 - DVs win 5-1 in 8 1/2 innings. The DVs hit 3 more Fhomers. A bit of a downward trend for the home team, but it made little difference. How do you get 2-hit and STILL have 7 caught stealings in the game?!? All were 1-18 or better. #NotDespondent

Stanton Fhomered in the 1st, then the whole DV team retired to the beach on the Tulsa coast, allowing the game to be finished by vendors and ushers, who still almost pulled off the sweep. The Pigs tied it in the 7th and scored 2 more in the 9th off of Viagra Fan of the Game Dick Short, who just didn't have enough to pull it off. The Pigs hit into 11 DPs in this game alone - a new record for a 9-inning game. #NotDrunk #Yet

Warpigs 5, Tweeners 0

The Pigs were the Nad-substitute today, and the Tweeners weren't happy about it. Apparently he had a taste for Nads.
June 18 @ The BallPork - Warpigs win 4-3. Adrian Beltre hit a 1st inning, 2-run homer off of MadBum to give the Pigs the early advantage. The Tweeners fought back, however, taking the lead on 2 unearned runs in the 7th after Luis Severino booted one. But Aaron Judge tied it in the bottom half of the 7th with his 21st home run. Then in the 8th, after J.T. Realmuto doubled, Christian Yelich singled him in with 2 outs for the eventual winning run. Raisel Iglesias (4-0) pitched the 8th inning for the win, but it was an exciting one. Trey Mancini led off with a triple. After an intentional walk and an unintentional walk loaded the bases with no outs, Iglesias got Nolan Arenado to ground into a 5-2-3 DP. After yet another intentional walk, Kevin Millar struck out to end the inning for the frustrated Tweeners. Sean Doolittle struck out three in the 9th for his 4th save. MadBum took the loss, and Jonathan Schoop homered for the Tweeners.
June 19 @ The BallPork - Warpigs win 6-0. Jake Odorizzi (5-1) went 7.1 innings for the shutout win. Ryan Buchter and Pedro Strop finished up for him, with Strop getting his 1st save of the year. It was a fairly cheap save. He entered in the 8th with 2 men on and the Pigs leading 4-0. He struck out Justin Smoak to end the inning. After D.J. Lemahieu opened it up with a 2-run double in the bottom half of the inning, Strop cruised thru the 9th for the save. Realmuto reached base 4 times and scored 3 runs.
August 1 @ The Hoover Dome - Warpigs win 11-2. This one was over early. Judge, Realmuto, Joe Mauer, and Tommy Pham all homered for the Pigs, and Adam Wainwright (3-1) threw a complete game. Gerardo Parra and Scott Schebler homered for the home team. Ivan Nova took the loss.
August 2 @ The Hoover Dome - Warpigs win 12-8. Luis Severino started for the Warpigs, but gave up 4 runs without getting a single out. The Pigpen isn't really set up to pitch 9 innings, but they were equal to the task. The stars of the game, though, were on offense. Corey Seager led the comeback, going 4-5 with a homer, a double, and 4 RBI. Tommy Pham and Adrian Beltre each had 3 hits. In addition to Seager's long ball, Pham, Judge, and Roberto Perez went yard. For the Tweeners, Trey Mancini went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a homer. Raisel Iglesias (5-0) earned the win.

Warpigs 6, Drillers 4
Via Netplay - but with several glitches. For the most part, the game doesn't like it when you switch hosts. Close and re-open the game when you switch hosts, I guess. That seemed to work.
April 28 @ The BallPork - Drillers win 6-2. Michael Fulmer threw 6 shutout innings, and both Buster Posey and Josh Donaldson homered. The Pigs avoided the shutout with an 8th-inning home run from Aaron Judge. Danny Duffy (2-3) was mashed around a bit in the loss.
April 29 @ The BallPork - Drillers win 6-1. Everything is rosy in DrillerLand. Posey homered again. So did Jose Abreu. Hell, Michael Conforto homered twice. All while Lucas Giolito was taking his turn to shutout the Warpigs' pitiful offense. This time the Pigs needed a 9th inning, 2-out solo shot by Corey Seager to get on the board. Rich Hill (1-3) took the loss.
Through two games, the Driller SPs had given up zero runs on 8 hits in 13 innings.

For awhile there, it appeared the day's trend was going to be All Drillers, All the Time... but thanks to some late inning heroics, the trend has become Home Teams Suck. Trailing 4-1 in the 7th, the Warpigs' Tommy Pham hit a 2-out, 2-run homer to close the gap to 1. In the top of the 9th, after the first two Pigs made outs, the next four Pigs went: walk, HBP, walk, walk. The last one, to DJ Lemahieu, forced in the tying run. Another 2-out rally in the top of the 10th gave the Pigs the lead. Corey Seager doubled home Aaron Judge, who had walked to open the inning. Sean Doolittle (1-0) got the win in relief. Steve Cishek nailed down the final out for his 8th save.

Raisel Iglesias (2-0) got the win in relief while Adam Warren notched his 3rd save.

Luis Severino was cruising along with a shutout into the 9th inning, but a leadoff walk and a 1-out triple by Eric Thames sent him to the showers. Warren came on to try and strand the game-tying run at third. He did his job, striking out Abreu, bringing up CarGo as the last hope. Sean Doolittle was a little weary, but was called in for the final out. He couldn't get it. Pinch hitter Howie Kendrick blooped a single to tie the game. The Drillers went on to load the bases, but Carl Edwards struck out Robinson Cano to keep the game tied going to the bottom of the 9th. In their half, the Pigs rallied after two were out. Joe Mauer doubled, and Pirela singled him to 3rd. Corey Seager was intentionally walked to bring up J.T. Realmuto in the clutch. Ryan Tepera was tapped to get him out, but Jon Jay grabbed a bat instead and grounded a single up the middle to end the game in dramatic fashion. Edwards (2-0) was the winner as the Pigs take their fourth in a row.

Tied 1-1 into the final frame, the visiting Drillers scored 3 times, the final 2 on a triple by Kendrick. Corey Seager hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the inning, but it wasn't enough. Lucas Giolito got the win, Corey Knebel the save, and Adam Warren (2-2) took the loss.

Aaron Judge homered in the 4th, and Christian Yelich hit one in the 7th, but when the Drillers scored 2 in the 8th, the game was tied at 3. In the top of the 10th, Charlie Blackmon tripled with 1 out. Raisel Iglesias was brought on to face Josh Donaldson, who lifted a flyball to right. With Blackmon tagging at 3rd, Judge came up firing and nailed him at the plate. Judge was denied his chance to finish his Hero's Journey in the bottom of the inning because he was intentionally walked. In fact, the bottom of the 10th went like this for the Pigs: double, IBB, sac, IBB, gbDP. Grrr. But in the bottom of the 11th, the Pigs loaded the bases again, and this time the Driller Dude had to pitch to Judge. It wasn't intentional, but Judge walked again to give the Pigs the win. Iglesias (3-0) was the winner.

Game 1 (BallPork) - Warpigs win 9-5. Aaron Judge had 2 homers and 4 RBI to lead the Pigs. Jake Odorizzi (4-1) pitched just well enough over 8 innings to get the win.
Game 2 (BallPork) - Warpigs win 3-1. Tommy Pham got a bases loaded hit in the 2nd to score 2 runs. Then Christian Yelich plated another run with a 2-out single in the same inning. It was all the runs the Pigs would get or need, as Jacob deGrom (3-1) went 7 innings for the win. Raisel Iglesias pitched the 9th for his 2nd save.
Game 3 (BallPork) - Tweeners win 5-3. Ivan Nova (7 innings) and Yusmeiro Petit (2 innings) held the Pigs to 6 hits in the getaway win. Adam Wainwright (1-1) provided the batting practice for the Tweeners. Aaron Judge homered for the home team.
Game 4 (Hoover Dome) - Warpigs win 12-7. The Warpigs led 3-2 into the 6th when they exploded for an 8-run inning. Jose Pirela and Corey Seager both went 2-2 in the big inning, and Aaron Judge unloaded the bases with a Grand Slam. For the game, the Pigs had 20 hits, including 6 doubles, a triple, and 5 homers. Seager and Judge both homered twice. Adam Wainwright (2-1) was the beneficiary of the offensive explosion.
Game 5 (Hoover Dome) - Warpigs win 6-3. A surprising trio of Pigs led the offense, with Jake Lamb, Jose Pirela, and Christian Yelich all homering. Jacob deGrom (4-1) took a 1-hitter into the 9th before surrendering a single and homer and then giving way to Steve Cishek, who got the last 3 outs for his 7th save.
