Game 1-Manny Machado smoked a solo shot and a two-run tater to provide
the offense to back up Liriano’s 11 K performance that limited the Hoos
to two runs along with three innings of shutout relief from Giles and
Ziegler to lead the good guys to a 5-2 triumph.
Game 2- Greinke went eight strong giving up three runs, and Corey
Dickerson drove in five runs with two bombs to power a 7-3 win.
Game 3- Scherzer and Ziegler combined on a four-hit shutout, and the
Zaps used two hits, a walk, and a sac fly to score the game's only two
runs in the bottom of the third to seal a 2-0 victory in the finale.
