Nads 4, Rhinos 3

Rhinos go 3 - 4 vs Nads

5/27/2016  Nads 2 – Rhinos 1
 
R.A. Dickey went 8 solid innings at The Rhino Reserve where the Nads beat the Rhinos by the score of 2 to 1. The Nads scored the deciding run in the top of the 8th inning. Erick Aybar reached on an error. Anthony Gose next to the plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Ben Revere then delivered a base-hit. Adrian Gonzalez followed next and he would ground out scoring the run. The Rhinos tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. The victory was credited to Dickey (7-4) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run. Hector Rondon earned the save.
 
5/28/2016  Nads 5 – Rhinos 4
 
The Nads nipped the Rhinos 5 to 4 at The Rhino Reserve in a hard fought contest.Brian Dozier enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He ripped a base-knock scoring a run in the 6th inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 8th inning.Although they lost, the Rhinos did out-hit the Nads 11 to 6. C.J. Wilson picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Wilson was helped out by Hector Rondon who recorded the save.  Jeanmar Gomez took the loss in relief. 
 

5/29/2016  Rhinos 8 – Nads 5
 
The Rhinos bested the Nads by a 8 to 5 score at The Rhino Reserve. Matt Wisler contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win.  He went 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 walks.  The Rhinos had 11 hits for the afternoon while the Nads had 8. Jeanmar Gomez recorded the save. Nick Martinez was the losing pitcher in relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 4 hits in 3 and 1/3 innings. 
 
 
9/9/2016  Nads 7 – Rhinos 4
 
The DAVE NADS defeated the JOSE RHINOS by a score of 7 to 4 at The Rhino
Reserve. Mike Fiers pitched a fine game.  He went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 5hits and 4 walks.  DAVE had just 6 hits for the afternoon. Hector Rondon got the save, his 19th.  Gerrit Cole was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 7 innings of work. 
 
 
9/10/2016  Rhinos 6 – Nads 4
 
Noah Syndergaard had an impressive outing as the Rhinos beat the Nads by a score of 6 to 4. The Rhinos took the lead off R.A. Dickey in the first inning when they scored 2 runs on 1 hit.  The Rhinos had only 6 hits for the afternoon. Syndergaard got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing no runs. The losing pitcher was Dickey, he allowed 3 hits and 3 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings. 
 
 
9/11/2016 Day Nads 2 – Rhinos 0
 
Kole Calhoun had 3 base hits at The Rhino Reserve where the Nads beat the Rhinos by the score of 2 to 0. In the top of the 4th inning the Nads went on top for good plating one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits.  After two outs Brian Dozier doubled.  Calhoun came to the plate and banged out a single scoring the run. Cesar Ramos was perfect in relief and got the save, his 1st. The winning pitcher was Mike Fiers who allowed no runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Matt Wisler was the loser.  He pitched 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 6 hits and 1 walk.
 
9/11/2016  Night  Rhinos 4 – Nads 3
 
Nick Markakis had 4 hits at The Rhino Reserve as the Rhinos beat the Nads in 13 innings by the count of 4 to 3. The score was tied at 3 after nine. The Rhinos came out on top in the 13th inning. Kris Bryant hit a single. After an out was recorded, Kevin Jepsen then uncorked a wild pitch.  Alcides Escobar then worked the squeeze play to perfection giving the Rhinos the win. Aaron Sanchez picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Jepsen took the loss in relief.
