Warpigs 4, Goofs 1

Games played via CMs.

@ The BallPork

July 2nd - Warpigs win 5-2. Luis Severino and a bunch of relievers had a 4-hit shutout going until the bottom of the 8th. In that inning, after an out, Yadier Molina walked and Ender Inciarte greeted Koji Uehara with a double (missed the homer) to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. A groundout by Adeiny Hechevarria finally got the Pigs on the board. Jason Kipnis walked, and A.J. Pollock blasted a double to the alley, giving the Warpigs the lead and chasing off Uehara. Sergio Romo came in but couldn't record an out, giving up an RBI single to Prince Fielder, an RBI double to Ian Kinsler, and a walk. Michael Wacha pitched well for 7 innings, although he made 2 of the 3 Pig errors. Tyler Clippard (1-2) got the win in relief. Darren O'Day got the save, his 6th.

July 3rd - Warpigs win 7-1. Pollock, Yadi, and Lorenzo Cain all homered for the Pigs. Josh Tomlin (5-3) carried a no-hitter into the 6th before Brandon Phillips took him deep. The Goofs were held to 3 hits on the day.

July 4th - Warpigs win 2-0. Jacob deGrom is good, but on this day, Garrett Richards was better. Both Warpig runs came in the 2nd inning. Fielder and Kinsler led off the inning with singles. Fielder scored on a double by Jake Lamb, and Kinsler scored on a sac fly from LoCain. Richards (12-8) went 7 innings for the win, allowing 6 hits but walking no one. Five relievers combined to get the final 6 outs, with O'Day getting the save.

@ Magic Kingdom

August 15th - Warpigs win 9-3. Pollock went 3-4 with 3 RBI. He doubled, homered, and stole a base. Prince also homered, making up for his 2 errors in the same inning. Wacha (8-5) went 7 innings for the win. The outcome might have been worse, but the Goofs' Cameron Maybin went 4-4.

August 16th - SuperGoofs win 3-0. deGrom was masterful, allowing only 2 hits in 7 innings. Uehara went the final 2 innings for the save. The Pigs got the first two batters on in the 9th, but a popout and a double play grounder ended the game. Jake Peavy (8-3) took the loss. Maybin knocked in 2 of the Goof runs.
