Games

Nads 4, Zaps 1

From the Nadman...
Nads win 4 of 5 – one extra inning game and 3 close games. Zaps thump Dempster 8-1 for a win. Zaps could not get a hit – hitting .204 against NAD pitching.

Tweeners 3, Fungoes 2

From the Tweeners...
Visiting teams continue to struggle offensively in the Hooverdome. Fungoes hit .198 and score 15 runs in the 5 games. Josh Anderson's first homerun of the year is a grand slam and more than enough to support Joe Blanton's CG win in game 1, by a score of 9-3. Lannan pitches 7 shutout innings in game 2, Tweeners hit 5 homers and win 7-2. Consecutive starts by Clayton Kershaw provide the 2 Fungoes wins by scores of 6-3 and 4-1. Jonathan Sanchez and friends combine for a 2-0 shutout to claim the rubber game.

Fungoes 3, Tweeners 2

Fungoes and Tweeners played at the Fungoloid dome today as well, the results follow:

Game 1: Fungoes score 4 in the bottom of the 6th to erase a 3-0 Tweener lead. Thats all the Fungoes need as they win it 4-3. Robertson gets the win in relief and Papelbon picks up the save. De Le Rosa earns the loss in relief. Napoli hits a Pinch-hit Two Run Homer to finish off the scoring.

Game 2: Lance Berkman jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI at Pac Bell Park as the DEREK FUNGOES beat the NORM TWEENERS in 11 innings by the count of 8 to 5. It was a WALKOFF by Berkman. Fungoes score in the ninth to keep the game alive for the Fongoloids! Masterson gets the loss and the win goes to Burton in relief.

Game 3: Oswalt goes 10 innings and wins it 3-1 for the Tweeners. Burton takes the loss in relief.

Game 4: Extra innings again as the Tweeners win it 7-6 in ten innings. Masterson gets the win and Burton takes another loss for the Fungoes. Morrow picks up a save for the Tweeners. The score was tied at 6 after nine. NORM came out the victor in the 10th inning when Corey Hart blasted a solo shot. The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.

Game 5: Joe Mather had 2 base hits as the DEREK FUNGOES outscored the NORM TWEENERS 3 to 1. DEREK came up with all the runs they needed in the 7th inning as they scored 3 runs on 3 base hits. Although they lost, NORM did out-hit DEREK 9 to 6. The victory went to Hideki Okajima(1-3) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. David Robertson earned his 1st save. The losing pitcher was Joe Blanton(0-1).
