Five wild and woolly Netplay games. The results...

Joakim Soria allowed a run in the bottom of the inning, but held on for the save. Chipper Jones and Manny Ramirez hit back to back homers in the 2nd inning.

7/24 at Driller Park - Drillers 8, Warpigs 6 (10 innings) - Kelly Shoppach homered twice, including a walk-off, 2-out, 2-run blast in the bottom of the 10th inning. The Drillers blew a 5-2 lead when the Pigs erupted for a 4-run 8th, but the Drillers tied it in the bottom of the inning. Hong Chi Kuo got the win and Russ Springer took the loss. Albert Pujols and Chipper Jones homered for the Pigs. Carlos Lee went deep along with the two from Shoppach.

9/4 at the BallPork - Warpigs 4, Drillers 3 - Orlando Hudson hit a 2-out double in the bottom of the 8th to score Manny Ramirez with the winning run. James Shields went the distance in the loss. Evan Longoria and Ryan Ludwick homered for the Drillers. Billy Wagner got the win and Joakim Soria the save.

9/5 at the BallPork - Drillers 8, Warpigs 6 - There were 8 home runs in the game, 4 by each team. Joe Nathan, who had come on in the 8th, puckered up again for two Pig dingers in the 9th, but held on for the save. Hong Chi Kuo again got the win in relief. The homers were hit by: Carlos Lee, Kelly Shoppach, and Vladimir Guerrero (2) for the Drillers and Manny Ramirez, Orlando Hudson, and Jason Bay (2) for the Pigs.

9/6 at the BallPork - Warpigs 8, Drillers 7 (10 innings) - The two teams saved the most entertaining game for last. 51 players appeared in the game, which ended with a tired Joakim Soria on the mound for the Pigs - with no relief help available, Garrett Atkins at 2b, no DH for the Pigs, and a Curtis Granderson walk off homer. Ty Wiggington hit a 2-run homer in the top of the 9th to give the Drillers a 1-run lead, but Joe Nathan issued a 2-out, bases loaded walk to Albert Pujols in the bottom of the 9th, sending the game into extra innings. Granderson's blast came with 2 outs and followed a caught stealing. Ryan Ludwick homered twice for the Drillers and drove in 4 runs.
