From The HEAD INMATE...

Inmates take 3 of 5 from Drillers in CM games at the Baptist Bowl.

May 20: Inmates 7, Drillers 6 Walk-off single by David Murphy in bottom of 9th seals the deal for the 850 lethargic fans.

May 21: Inmates 3, Drillers 1 Floyd takes shutout into 9th, Howard and Ankiel both tater. All 127 fans were apathetic.

May 22: Inmates 6, Drillers 5 (10 innings) Dunn taters 3 times, Ankiel hits walk-off single.

August 15: Drillers 11, Inmates 4 Back to the same-old-shit for the Beakless Chicken Gang. Jeter leads off the game with a 692 foot homer into Lake Superior and the Drillers never look back. The 146 Inmate faithful rioted after Myers gave up three orbital blasts in the 1st inning.

August 16: Drillers 13, Inmates 2 Campillo enters a reasonably competitive game in the 6th and self-immolates by giving up 7 hits and 5 runs in 2/3 of an inning. Drillers bitch-slap the Inmate staff for 19 hits.

Inmates now 23-37.

Sidewinders 4, SuperGoofs 1

The Snakes vault into first in the AWD while the Goofs continue their fall, dropping under .500.

From the Snakeman...

Game 1 Jimenez bests Volquez 4-1. The teams combined for 7 hits.

Game 2 Snakes win 7-1. Lester gets the win.DeRosa and Beltran homer. Guthrie takes the loss.

Game 3 Snakes win 11-2. Goof reliever Shawn Marshall gives up 5 hits without recording an out. Wright homers twice for the SSWs and Phillips homers for the SGs.

Game 4 Zambrano and Howell shut out the SuperGoofs 1-0 on the "strength" of Jack Wilson's GIDP. (The Oilers are in heaven with his pencil writing "No RBI - 1")

Game 5 The SGs win the second game of the DH 6-5.Marcum goes 8 for the win and Mike Adams gets the save. Matt Joyce homers for the SGs.
