4/12 – FFTs 4, Tweeners 3. MadBum outpitches Lynn, Tweeners outhit FFTs 14-6, and lose as a result of consecutive 4th inning errors by Arenado, Iglesias, and Iglesias.
4/13 – Tweeners 11, FFTs 3. The visiting Tweeners get long balls from Hicks, Zobrist, Cruz, Colabello, and Cozart, all on 1-11 BPHRs except for the Cozart grand slam, spelt out on his card. W – Felix, L – Chen.
5/24 – Tweeners 10, FFTs 2. Former Tweener Gio Gonzalez is treated rudely in his return to the Hooverdome, surrendering 10 earned in 7 IP. Another win for Felix, homers by Tulo, Beltre, Hicks, and Phegley.
5/25 – Tweeners 3, FFTs 0. Sonny Gray and Carson Smith combine for a one-hitter, L – Lynn.
5/26 – Tweeners 9, FFTs 8. Trailing 5-0, Tweeners rally for 3 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th to tie it; FFTs plate a run in the 9th, Tweeners do the same in the bottom half to send it to extra innings. FFT’s get 2 in the 10th, Tweeners match that again in the bottom half. Finally in the 11th, Iglesias walks, Lind stays in to face the lefty and singles off the SADV H&R chart, and Arenado drives in the game winner. Great win for the home team, tough loss for the visitors. W – Gilmartin, L – Diekman.
7/5 – FFTs 4, Tweeners 1. Lynn is much better than MadBum this time, homers by VanSlyke and Miggy.
7/6 – Tweeners 6, FFTs 0. A 2-hit CG for Felix. L – Chen. HR – Springer.
7/7 – Tweeners 6, FFTs 3. Tweeners come from behind with a 4-run 8th inning, capped off by a 3-run bomb by Nelson Cruz. W – Gilmartin, L – Yimi Garcia.
8/17 – Tweeners 7, FFTs 2. Madison Bumgarner(4-3) gave a fine effort for NORM. He surrendered 5 hits and
1 walk in 7 innings lowering his ERA from 4.01 to 3.72. Both teams totaled 9
hits on the night.
Carson Smith earned the save, his 11th. Wei-Yin Chen(4-11) was the loser. He
was unable to control the NORM offense and allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 4
and 2/3 innings. Nelson Cruz homered for the good guys.
8/18 – FFTs 4, Tweeners 3. Center fielder Brandon Guyer had 2 base hits as the TERRY FFT'S defeated the
NORM TWEENERS in 10 innings 4 to 3 at The Hoover Dome.
Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings. TERRY came out on top
in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Scott Van Slyke delivered a
solo blast. TERRY had 8 hits for the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Jeff Samardzija(6-6) who went 9 innings, allowing
3 runs. Adam Warren got the save, his 20th. Andrew Chafin(1-2) was hit with
the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in 1 and 2/3 innings.
