6/13 – Tweeners 3, Nads 2.
Felix Hernandez racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts at The Hoover
Dome as the NORM TWEENERS won in their last at-bat beating the DAVE NADS by
the count of 3 to 2.
The game was decided in the 9th inning. Nelson Cruz cracked a solo homerun
resulting in a mighty exciting win for NORM and the 47,274 home town fans in
attendance. Both teams totaled 8 hits on the night.
Andrew Chafin(2-2) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Tony Sipp(1-4) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3
innings allowing 1 hit and no walks.
6/14 – Nads 7, Tweeners 4. Brian Dozier blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Kevin Jepsen came through
with a solid 3 innings as the DAVE NADS defeated the NORM TWEENERS in 13
innings by the score of 7 to 4 at The Hoover Dome.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. DAVE ended up winning it in
the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, Ben Revere keyed the rally when
he lined a one-base hit. Revere stole second with some aggressive base
running. Adrian Gonzalez then reached on an error resulting in a run. Todd
Frazier followed, but he was set down on strikes. Dozier came up to bat and
bombed a two-run dinger. DAVE had a total of 10 hits for the game.
The win was credited to Jepsen(2-2) who went 3 innings allowing no runs.
Carson Smith(1-3) ended up with the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck
loser, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.
6/15 – Tweeners 4, Nads 0. Madison Bumgarner went 8 and one third strong innings and Nelson Cruz slammed
a homerun and had 2 RBI at The Hoover Dome as the NORM TWEENERS beat the DAVE
NADS 4 to 0.
NORM delivered all the runs required in the 4th inning scoring 4 runners on 4
hits. The critical plate appearance was by Cruz who came through for the
home fans when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. After
the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.
The win was credited to Bumgarner(5-3) who went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing no
runs. Mike Fiers(4-4) was the losing pitcher. He was stingy with the
baserunners, allowing just 6 hits and no walks in 8 innings.
8/27 – Tweeners 3, Nads 2. Josh Phegley knocked 2 homeruns at The Hoover Dome as the NORM TWEENERS beat
the DAVE NADS by the count of 3 to 2.
The game was won by NORM with a run in the 8th inning. After an out was
recorded, Phegley delivered a solo blast. NORM had 9 hits overall, while
DAVE had 6.
Carson Smith(2-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 2/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Fernando Rodriguez earned his 1st save. Jared Hughes(0-2)
ended up with the loss in relief.
8/28 – Tweeners 5, Nads 3. In a thriling finish the NORM TWEENERS pulled off the win over the DAVE NADS
by a score of 5 to 3 at The Hoover Dome.
NORM had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs. Zack Cozart led
off and got things going when he was hit by a pitch. Ben Zobrist stepped up
next and he bombed a two-run dinger giving NORM the win and sending the home
town fans into a frenzy. NORM finished with just 6 hits in the victory.
Andrew Chafin(3-2) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Keone
Kela(1-1) suffered the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 2 and
2/3 innings.
