Fungoes 6, FFTs 4

May 11 at FFTs:

John Lackey and Yimi Garcia combine for a 1 hit shutout as FFTs win 4-0.  Freddy Galvis broke up the no-hit bid with a 1 out single in the 8th.  Joc Peterson hit a 2 out 3 run bomb in the bottom of the 7th for the home team!  Trevor Rosenthal took the loss for the Fungi in relief of Matt Harvey.

May 12 at FFTs:

Fungoes score 5 in the 3rd inning and cruise to a 10-3 win.  Kyle Gibson improves to 2-3 with the victory.  Gio Gonzalez takes the loss!

Trout enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He blasted a two-run home run in the 7th inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 8th inning.  

June 22 at WTF:

Jeff Samardzija holds the Fungoes to 4 hits as the FFTs win it 4-1.  David Price takes the loss.  Adam Warren gets the save for the FFTs.  Miguel Cabrera hit the only homer of the game.

June 23 at WTF:

Fungoes enter the 9th inning leading 4-0.  Extra innings ensue however as the FFTs score 4 in the top of the ninth.  FFTs win it 5-4 in 12 innings.  Adam Warren gets the win in relief for the FFTs while Trevor Rosenthal takes the loss for the Fungoes.  

June 24 at WTF:

Fungoes win this one 5-4.  Kyle Gibson gets the win while Gio Gonzalez takes the loss for the FFTs.  Wil Harris picks up the save for the Fungoes.

August 3 at FFTs:

Kershaw holds the FFTs down as the Fungoes win it 5-3.  John Lackey takes the loss.  Kershaw improves to 7-2.  David Robertson picks up a save for the Fungoes.  Daniel Murphy homered and Mike Trout collected 4 hits for the Fungoes.

August 4 at FFTs:

David Price goes the distance allowing only 4 hits.  However he picks up the hard luck loss as the FFTs and Gio Gonzalez, Yimi Garcia and Adam Warren shut out the Fungoes winning it 1-0.  Price strikes out 11 batters but allows a solo shot to Miguel Cabrera and that was all of the scoring in this one!

August 5 at FFTs:

Fungoes break out to an early 8-0 lead and hang on to win it 9-3.  Lance McCullers improves to 2-1 with the win while Lance Lynn takes the loss for the FFTs.  Carpenter, Trout, Odor and Beltre all homered in the contest.

September 4 at WTF:

Seesaw match the Fungoes finally win 8-6.  Trout and Daniel Murphy both homer for the home team.  Neither starter is around for the decision as Yimi Garcia takes the loss in relief of John Lackey while Trevor Rosenthal gets credit for the win in relief of Lance McCullers.  Wil Harris picks up his 8th save for the Fungoes.

September 5 at WTF:

Fungoes get to Yimi Garcia again in relief as Roberto Perez hits the 3 run blast to complete the comeback win as the Fungoes win it 4-3.  Wil Harris picked up the win in relief for the Fungoes.  Garcia takes the loss.
