The SUPER GOOFS got by the FUNGOES at WTF Field.  The final score was 3 to 1.

The Fungoes lost it in the 8th inning when the SuperGoofs did all their damage plating 3
runs.  Daniel Nava led off and keyed the rally when he delivered a base-hit.
Casey McGehee next to the plate and he drew a walk.  Lucas Duda then reached
on an error.  Angel Pagan followed, but he was set down on strikes.  David
Dejesus got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.

unearned and all three outs in the 8th were strikeouts - &*$%-%#@&)!  Jarrod Saltalamacchia was
next to the plate, but was promptly struck out.  The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.

helped out by Jonathan Papelbon who recorded his 7th save.  The loss was charged to Huston Street(0-1) in relief.

SG's manager was in a contemplative mood after the tough loss, 'It is really a pisser to lose this kind of a game.
It may seem weird to some, but it is easier to take the occasional blow-out loss.  It is the ones that just
barely get away that hurt so much - like this one!'

June 4:
Left fielder Rajai Davis had 2 base hits as the WTFers defeated the SGs by a score of 4 to 2 at WTF Field.
The Fungoes jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.

August 11:
Center fielder Mike Trout lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI as the WTFers beat the Super Goofs in
10 innings by a score of 5 to 3.
