Warpigs 6, Rhinos 4

Cards and dice...

@ Rhino Reserve

Gm1 - Warpigs win 5-4. Adam Wainwright gives up 3 homers, but is bailed out when Matt Wieters hits a 3-run homer in the 6th.

Gm2 - Warpigs win 3-2 in 12 innings. It was a rare extra inning win from the Pigs when Darwin Barney shocked the Rhinos with a 2-out, run-scoring single in the 12th. Tyler Lyons got the win, and Casey Fien recorded the save. Scott Van Slyke homered.

Gm3 - Warpigs win 4-1. The Rhinos made an uncharacteristic 4 errors, and Adam Wainwright shut down the Rhino bats, holding them to 2 hits. Melky Cabrera went 2-4 with a triple and an RBI.

Gm4 - Warpigs win 2-1. Stephen Strasburg overcame a solo homer by Carlos Gomez to get the win. The go-ahead run scored in the bottom of the 8th when Melky Cabrera hit another triple, this time scoring Barney, who led off the inning with a single. Casey Fien got another save.

Gm5 - Warpigs win 2-1. Fernandez over Sabathia. Yoenis Cespedes hit a BP HR (1-4) in the 1st inning.

@ Rhino Reserve

Gm6 - Rhinos win 10-8. To keep from sacrificing Zack Wheeler to the Rhino bats, Jake Odorizzi made a spot start - his first of the year. The result wasn't that different. The two teams combined for 25 hits. And while the Pigs had more hits, the Rhinos had more runs.

Gm7 - Warpigs win 4-1. Fernandez wins again. Van Slyke hit a homer.

Gm8 - Rhinos win 12-2. The Rhino bats woke up, scoring 12 runs on 16 hits. Two Pig errors contributed to the problem. For the Pigs, Scott Van Slyke just missed a reverse cycle. He homered in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, and doubled in the 6th. He needed a roll of 4-8 for the single in the 8th, but rolled 4-6.

Gm9 - Rhinos win 1-0 in 10 innings. A great pitching duel between Adam Wainwright and C.C. Sabathia.

Gm10 - Rhinos win 5-2. Two more Pig errors spelled doom for Strasburg.
