DVs 3, Goofs 2

In an Easter-eggstravaganza, the DVs took 3 of 5 from the SuperGoofs in the DV Dome. Here’s the recap:

Game 1 – To the shock and amazement of the DV faithful, Roy Halladay wins a game as he holds off the Goofs in a 3-2 thriller.

Game 2 – Yu Darvish skips the traditional Easter clubhouse buffet and dines on the hapless DV bats as the Goofs win comfortably 6-2.

Game 3- Stop me if you’ve heard this before, the DVs score all their runs on solo home runs and win 2-0.

Game 4- Goofs bats awake early as they plate 3 runs in the top of the first. The DVs really awaken in the bottom of the first as the first 9 batters reach base (Clayton Richard only saw the first 7 before he was pulled), and they end up scoring 9 total runs in the frame. From there the fans barely stay awake from the large Easter dinner as the DVs prevail 13-6 behind a Paul Maholm sloppy complete game.

Game 5 – Jacked up on jelly beans and Reese’s peanut butter eggs, the Goofs ride 2 Josh Hamilton home runs to a 9-5 win. Colby Lewis gets the complete game win as Halladay gets crushed once again as he’s seen later abusing a chocolate bunny in the clubhouse.
