Playoff Update

It took a little reformatting, but I got the 7 box scores from the Drillers/Rhinos series up. I believe even the running totals for BA, ERA, and extra base hits are correct.

A couple things I noticed from the series... Rhino leadoff hitter Hanley Ramirez did not make a single appearance in the 3 games played at Drillerville. Not sure if he made the trip. Disciplinary measures, perhaps? And slugger Ryan Braun spent the whole series in the Colonel's doghouse, managing a mere 2 pinch hitting appearances. Rhino B.J. Upton was the series MVP, going 12-for-25 with 4 doubles. Driller Scott Rolen was the LVP, as evidenced by his lusty 1-for-22. Jacoby Ellsbury went 10-for-19 with 2 homers and 2 steals for the Drillers.

Congratulations to the Rhinos for their first round victory. Their win guarantees some new World Series blood, as either the DVs or Rhinos will play in the finals for the first time.

I don't have the DV rotation yet, but the Rhinos are locked into Sheets in game 1 and Escobar in game 2.

And in case you were wondering (or keeping score at home), the Rhino inactives are pitchers Oliver Perez, Matt Lindstrom, Brad Lidge, and Jamie Walker and catcher J.R. Towles.

The Inmate/Sidewinder series is scheduled to be played Wednesday. The winner gets the Killer Bees in round 2.
