The Oilers were the first to submit the correct answer, although since his answer included the date of the game and the opponent, I'm thinking he cheated. hehehe. The Mavman eventually came up with the correct answer Monday night at the ballpark after many guesses by him and the Fungoes.
The Snakeman guessed Vida Blue Close, but no cigar. In fact, Blue threw the last American League no-hitter BEFORE the DH was introduced. But that was in 1970. There were no AL no-hitters in '71 or '72.
