When the Buckeyes go for something, they go for it bigtime. I can't remember ever facing a club that had only 2 right-handed batters on their roster. And those 2 guys had a combined 200 or so AB to use so they seldom played.
Last 2 of the series played at The BallPork.
Game 1 - Warpigs win 15-2. Adrian Beltre, who spent the rest of the Buckeye series either resting or making outs, broke out for one game. He hit a 3-run homer in the 1st, a grand slam in the 3rd, a single in the 7th, and a 2-run double in the 8th. He went 4-5 with 9 RBI. Adam Wainwright (13-2) was the beneficiary of all that offense, going 5 innings before giving way to Aaron Loup, who pitched 3 perfect innings of relief.
Game 2 - Warpigs win 3-0. Michael Wacha, the 5th starter, hasn't had a stellar year, but in two starts against the Buckeyes, he threw 2 complete game shutouts. Wacha (3-1) allowed only 2 hits. Jayson Werth went 2-3 with a double and homer and 2 RBI.
