Sidewinders 6, DVs 1

Sidewinders and DVs got some games played via netplay – first 2 at the Snake Pit.

Game 1 = Cueto easily masters DV bats while the Snakes crush the ball and win 11-2

Game 2 = Belt and Moss hit back to back home runs in the 7^th to lift the Snakes 4-3

At DVs place:

Game 3 = Hamilton and Ortiz score touchdowns and the Sidewinders take a knee midway through the third quarter as the DVs can only muster a lonely field goal in a 14-3 Snake win.

Game 4 = DVs surprise the impervious Snake bullpen as Kinsler hits a 3 run home run off Chapman as DVs win 6-4.

Game 5 = Ortiz homers twice, then Snakes let the DVs sneak to a 7-5 lead, only to have David Peralta hit a 2 run pinch hit home run to tie it at 7. Game goes into the 12^th when Dexter Fowler commits a two base error after a double to clear the bases and let the Snakes win 10-8

Game 6 = Sidewinders score 4 in the first and cruise 7-5

Game 7 = Sidewinders win 6-0 as DiamondVision fans weep openly in the nearly empty grandstand.

For the series the Sidewinders hit .289 with 17 homers, while sporting a 3.68 ERA and only allowing 5 homers. DVs are dreadful - .236 average and 7.06 ERA. Strasburg was 0-3 with a 11.25 ERA. Ugh.
