Fungoes 5, DVs 2

The Fungoes cuff around the DiamondVision via netplay with a dominant all around performance.

First 3 at “Deadball Era Park at WTF” –

Game 1 – Fungoes win 8-1 as Perez and Quentin hit home runs as gravity was momentarily turned down while the home team batted.

Game 2 – DVs use 6 relievers to grind out a 4-1 win

Game 3 – Former (and eventually future) DV Kershaw and Cishek combine to 3 hit the hapless DVs 2-0. Interestingly the DV manager points out to Clayton that when he’s a DV, he’ll be allowed to get the complete game shutout. The congratulatory cake sent to the Fungoe clubhouse read: “Good luck in arbitration”

Next 2 at DV land

Game 4 – Home sweet home as the DVs score more runs by the 5^th inning than they had to that point in the series, coasting to a 9-1 win

Game 5 – Pivotal game as a Murphy (David? Donnie? Dale? – who knows) doubles in the 12^th for the tie breaking run, then a scratch single adds an insurance run for a 3-1 Fungoes win

Last 2 back at the Fungoes park which re-creates Saturn’s gravity level:

Game 6 – Omar Moreno and FP Santangelo throw out first pitches in a ceremony to pay homage to a team that will hit more triples than homers, as Fungoes sew it up by the 3^rd inning as the demoralized DVs lose 6-2

Game 7 – In the “Get me the hell out of this place bobblehead give-away day” – Holland and 4 relievers shut down the DVs 2-0.

Fungoes start thinking about which wall to hang the Higdon on, while DVs stumble to 34-38 – YES the FFTs ARE still in it.
