Buckeyes and DVs finish up a series with just about every crazy thing that could happen as the Bucks win 3 of 5- games 1-3 @ Bucks and last 2 @ DVs.
Game 1 = DVs come from behind scoring 4 runs after the 7th inning to win 6-3
Game 2 = The craziness starts as DVs lead 10-1 after 3 innings, then hang on by their shoestring to win 11-10. We couldn’t get connected via the official netplay, so using the desktop sharing tool would have allowed an EQA – which the DVs almost suggested after the 4th inning. Not sure if that would or would not have been a good idea.
Game 3 = After the preceding fireworks, both teams struggle as the Buckeyes eke out a 1-0 win
Game 4 = Nothing like a 3-3 game in the third inning to keep your attention, unless it’s still 3-3 THIRTEEEN FREAKIN INNINGS LATER! Both teams had inserted their last pitchers (Johnson in the 11th for the Bucks, Ryan Cook in the 14th for the DVs), so in the 17th, the Buckeyes open the whole case of whoop ass, with 10 runs on 12 hits as the DVs sit by helplessly flickin’ the bean into oblivion as the Buckeyes win 13-3 in 17 innings. Cook’s ERA goes from 2.73 to 4.86 while Johnson pitches 6 innings without getting tired. Buckeyes total 26 hits on 74 at bats, while striking out 21 times and didn’t hit a homer, but David Ortiz did steal his second base of the series. Talk about Buckeye mystique. The box score said it lasted 5:15 – and that’s about what it felt like.
Game 5 = DVs just want to get the hell to bed with a 6-3 Buckeye win.
