Pigs finish off the Goofs, going 9-1 for the season with the Disney gang. Both parks are 0/0,0/0, so offense was difficult to come by.

Tweeners 2, Goofs 2

Last 4 games, expanded rosters, at the Hooverdome.

9/15 #1 - Goofs 5, Tweeners 1.  Tweeners couldn't figure out Tanaka, whereas Robbie Ray was an open book.  Homers by Herrera, Bell, and Leon.  A 9th inning homer by Mancini merely avoided the shutout.

9/15 #2 - Goofs 3, Tweeners 2.  Goofs sweep the double-header as Ivan Nova finally ran out of goofy magic dust.  Goofs go 0-9 with runners in scoring position, but homers by Bell, Mazara, and Maldonado are sufficient.  W - Rodriguez, S - Rusin.

9/16 - Tweeners 3, Goofs 2 (11 inn.).  Goofs' 2-run 1st looked like it would hold up, but Tweeners score single runs in the 8th and 9th to send it to extra innings.  In the 11th, Arenado drove in Schebler from 1st on a H&R double.  W - Montgomery, L - Stephenson.

9/17 - Tweeners 6, Goofs 5 (11 inn.).  Duda's second HR of the game highlighted a 4-run Goof 8th for a 5-2 lead, but Tweeners get 3 in the bottom half with homers by Smoak and Schoop.  In the 11th Grandal doubled, Pillar pinch-ran, Nova pinch-hit and sacrificed, Cozart pinch-hit a comebacker, Pillar out at home, but then the winning run again scored from 1st on an 11th inning double as Polanco drove in Cozart.  Joe Smith pitched 3.1 scoreless for the win, L- Faria.

Drillers 4, Killer Bees 1

At the Bees. Vs CM.

Tweeners 9, Goofs 1

We knocked out 10 vs. Goofs, winning 9.  A step ahead of Demerit Man once again.

At The Magic Kingdom:

4/3 - Goofs 4, Tweeners 0.  W - Graveman, S - Stephenson, L - MadBum.  HR and 3 RBI for Bell.  Thereafter, overconfident Goofs begin phoning it in.

4/4 - Tweeners 2-1 (13 inn).  Mancini drove in both runs with doubles in the 6th & 13th.  W - Tuivailala, S - Minor, L - Stephenson.

4/5 - Tweeners 8-3.  W - Montgomery, L - Newcomb.  Homers for Pillar and Parra, 4 RBI for Smoak.

4/6 - Tweeners 4-1.  2-hitter CG for Nova, who allowed only a Duda dinger.  L - Wheeler.  HR and 2 more RBI for Smoak.

At The Hooverdome:

5/21 - Tweeners 18-2.  Another CG win for Nova.  L - Rodriguez.  Tweeners hitters who failed to drive in any runs were fined in kangaroo court.

5/22 - Tweeners 6-1.  W - Morton, L - Graveman.  Homers by Smoak and Schebler, and by Herrera for the Goofs only run.

5/23 - Tweeners 7-5.  W - Anderson, S - Petit, L - Cobb.  Goofs actually jumped out to a 4 run lead, but Tweeners strike for 2 in the 3rd and 5 in the 5th.  Homers for Suarez, Choo, Cozart, Springer, and Schebler (3-run shot).

Back to Orlando:

7/2 - Tweeners 9-7.  Goofs led early, but the had to score 3 in the 9th to make it look respectable.  W - Hernandez, S - Minor, L - Rodriguez.  Jorge Polanco's 2-out, 3-run, pinch-hit double in the 8th was yuge.

7/3 - Tweeners 8-0.  In something akin to the Twilight Zone, another CG victory for Ivan Nova, this a 5 hit shutout.  L - Graveman.  It was actually a competitive contest until Tweeners plated 5 in the 9th.  Springer homered.

7/4 - Tweeners 5-0.  Following the Nova humiliation, Goofs again fail to score.  A 3-hitter for MadBum.  Alex Cobb was the loser.  When questioned about his counterpart after the
game, Cobb was lavish in his praise, 'It was obvious very early on that we were going to be in for a long night. Bumgarner brought his 'A' game with him - he had good stuff and was able to spot it perfectly. He probably only made one or two bad pitches the entire game!  At least the Independence Day post-game fireworks lived up to the hype.

Rhinos 3, Bees 2

5/13/2018      Rhinos 4 – Bees 3

Roark gets a complete 10 inning game while whiffed 11 batters at the Rhino Reserve where the Rhinos beat the Bees in 10 innings by the score of 3 to 2. The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine innings. The Rhinos won the game in the bottom of 10th inning, when with two outs Bellinger clubbed a solo home run. Dee Gordon goes 3 for 4 with a walk and was Bees hitting star.

5/14/2018      Rhinos 8 – Bees 5

Bellinger again was a horn in the side of the Bees, smacking 2 homeruns enroute to the 8 to 5 win. Along with Bellinger, the Rhino offensive barrage also included a 2 homerun day by Votto, with Marisnick chipping in one for good measure. The Bees only managed 5 hits one of which was a Zimmerman 2-run shot off of the starter L. Castillo. Garcia and Schwarber avoided wearing the Golden Sombrero contributing 6 of the 9 K’s by the Rhino pitching staff.

7/29/2018      Rhinos 1 – Bees 6

Verlander throws a complete game, shutting down the Rhinos allowing just 3 hits and Suzuki went deep and had 2 RBI enroute to the 6 to 1 win. The Rhinos avoided the shutout by a herculean effort by Panik who was able to muscle one out.

7/30/2018      Rhinos 3 – Bees 2

The Rhinos edged the Bees 3 to 2 in a close game. Gray exits after pitching 4 innings giving up 3 runs and leaving the bases loaded with no outs. Rodney enters the game in an unenviable situation to face Panik, who on the first pitch promptly smacks a Rodney fastball directly at SS Turner who is in the shift directly behind second base, he snags the line-drive steps on second and throws a bullet to first for the triple-play!!! Rodney keeps the Bees in the game shutting down the Rhinos pitching 4 innings of 2 hit ball in relief. Benintendi puts the Bees within a run smacking a 2 run homerun in the 6th, but unfortunately, the Bees offense was unable to capitalize due to spectacular defensive plays by Marisnick in the 7th and Hernandez in the 8th robbing the Bees of extra base hits.

7/31/2018      Rhinos 2 – Bees 3

The Bees topped the Rhinos 3 to 2. Nelson pitched well enough to earn the win going 5 innings despite surrending 5 hits and 5 walks. Castillo allowed 4 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. The Rhinos threatened with an Arcia homerun in the bottom of the 9th but their rally came up short.
