FFTs 3 – Innmates 2 (Bapist Bowl): Inmates didn’t start threatening until Mariano entered the game. He got knocked out, but the LDMF lose.
Inmates 6 – FFTs 3 (Baptist Bowl): Cargo, Jones, and Beltre all tater for the Inmates. When they hit, we win. Simple.
FFTs 5 – Inmates 2 (Baptist Bowl): Pence, Freese, and Castillo tater for the FFTs. Leake allows three hits in 7 IP. Beltre distinguishes himself by making two errors on successive plays (not successive chances…plays).
Inmates 8 – FFTs 6 (BandBox): Ichiro hits a 3-run HR in the third to pull the FFTs ahead briefly, but Inmate lumber shows up as the Beakless Chicken Gang score 8 in three innings for the win.
FFTs 6 – Inmates 5 (BandBox): Ramos shows the world how to spontaneously combust. Leading 5-0 when he entered the game in the 6th with the bases loaded he tosses one pitch to Hill, who promptly hit it out of the county for a Grand Salami. No problem right? Inmates still lead 5-4. Until Pence comes up in the 7th with one on to chase a 69 mph Ramos fastball over the 593 foot sign in the Little League Park two miles away.
Inmates 8 – FFTs 2 (Baptist Bowl): A five-run Inmate 3rd off of Kuroda is all that was needed for the win.
Inmates 9 – FFTs 4 (Baptist Bowl): Four Inmates homered to lead the Baptist Bowl Choralaires into a frenzy of wishful thinking and a two game winning streak.
FFTs 6 – Inmates 4 (BandBox): Prince Fielder’s 3-run spud in the third put the FFTs ahead forever. Masterson and Rivera shut down the Inmate offense late.
FFTs 7 – Inmates 6 (11 Innings – BandBox): The Inmate Arson Squad is in top incendiary form. Grilli enters the game in the 9th ahead 6-5, only to walk two and allow a hit without recording an out (this earned a BS – blew himself – for the stat sheet). Simon holds things in check until receiving a text message from his squeeze du jour that his presence was required immediately. Always the obliging boyfriend, he tosses a meat-pitch to Fielder with two outs in the 11th to throw away the game.
Inmates 6 – FFTs 2 (BandBox): Cargo, Beltre, and Jones all homer. See game 2 description.
