The Warpigs and Goofs faced off this morning for 3 face to face games USING DICE AND CARDS! I applaud the Goofs for diving in and giving the "old way" a shot.
1. Warpigs 8, Goofs 6 - @ Goofy World - The Goofs led 6-2 going into the 8th. Edwin Encarnacion came on then to pinch hit a single, making it 6-3. Then in the 9th, after Yadier Molina homered to make it 6-5, Encarnacion again came through - this time with a 2-out, game tying single. Austin Jackson and Darwin Barney followed with RBI singles to give the Pigs an 8-6 lead. Fernando Rodney pitched the 9th to record yet another save.
2. Warpigs 10, Goofs 1 - @ Goofy World - Quintin Berry was the unlikely star, going 4-for-5 with 2 stolen bases and a triple. He scored twice and knocked in 3. Darwin Barney, in his first start of the year, also went 4-for-5. Jordan Zimmerman lost his shutout in the 9th.
3. Warpigs 4, Goofs 3 - @ The BallPork - The Pigs scored 4 in the 3rd, the last 2 coming on a homer by Yoenis Cespedes. The Pig pitchers then hung on for the win. Fernando Rodney finished up for his 9 save in the team's first 15 games of the year.
