Michael Bourn had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the TERRY FFT'S topped the TAD MAVS
by a score of 9 to 3 at AT&T Park.
TERRY took the lead for keeps in the 3rd inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2
hits. TERRY out-hit TAD for the game, 11 hits to 6.
The winning pitcher was Hiroki Kuroda(13-10) who allowed 2 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings. Luke Hochevar(1-3) was given the loss. The TERRY ballclub's record
now stands at 77-61. TAD continued their losing ways and their record is now
15-15. They are 0-10 in their last ten games.

Phil Hughes mowed down 10 TERRY batters as the TAD MAVS outscored the TERRY
FFT'S 5 to 3.
Hughes(3-2) looked very much in control throughout the day. He was stingy on
the mound, allowing just 4 hits and no walks in 7 innings. Overall TAD
out-hit TERRY 11 to 8.
Hughes got help from Robinson Tejeda who earned his 2nd save. Ervin
Santana(11-14) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings giving
up 10 hits and 1 walk.
TAD's manager was asked about the performance of Hughes, 'He had his good
stuff out there this afternoon. The fans really get into it when the
strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more
adrenalin.'

At AT&T Park the TAD MAVS offense put up 5 runs on the scoreboard in the 6th
inning and outscored the TERRY FFT'S 9 to 6.
TAD went ahead for good in the 5th inning plating 3 runs utilizing 3 base
hits. Howie Kendrick led off and started the attack as he doubled. Two outs
later Billy Butler stepped in and he doubled. Jason Heyward then blasted a
two-run home run. Chris Young got his turn next, but he was a strikeout
victim. TAD won despite being out-hit by TERRY 15 hits to 11.
Clay Buchholz(4-1) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 innings.
Stephen Strasburg(3-5) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around,
surrendering 7 runs in 5 innings.

First baseman Derrek Lee smacked 2 triples and Stephen Strasburg mowed down 15
TAD batters as the TERRY FFT'S defeated the TAD MAVS by the score of 2 to 0
at AT&T Park.
Strasburg(4-5) was tremendous on the mound for TERRY. He was stingy on the
mound, allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. The pitchers took over
after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Mariano Rivera recorded the save, his 36th. Matt Cain(4-3) suffered the loss.
He pitched 9 innings allowing 10 hits and 2 walks.

Yovani Gallardo carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning and Chris Young had 2
base hits at AT&T Park where the TAD MAVS beat the TERRY FFT'S by the score
of 1 to 0.
Gallardo(2-2) had a strong outing. He surrendered only 1 hit and 4 walks in 7
innings. The right-handed Gallardo lost a no-hitter when Miguel Cairo
doubled with one out in the 7th inning. TERRY tried unsuccessfully to come
back in the 9th.
Clay Hensley preserved the game for Gallardo, recording his his 3rd. Ervin
Santana(11-15) took the loss. It was a tough loss for him as he did not
allow an earned run in his 6 and 2/3 innings of work.
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' TERRY's
manager said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say
they have to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
