The Warpigs moved on to the World Series by defeating the Rhinos in 6 games. The results...
Game 1: Warpigs win 2-0. Justin Duchscherer went 8 innings before giving way to the bullpen in the shutout victory. The Rhinos were held to 4 hits. The Pigs had only 6 hits, but 5 of them were by Rafael Furcal and Albert Pujols. Joakim Soria got the save for the Warpigs.
Game 2: Warpigs win 12-0. Rich Harden struck out 14 in 7 innings to lead the Warpigs to their second straight shutout victory. Brian Giles went 3-3 and drove in 3 runs. Manny Ramirez also had 3 RBI, and Brian Anderson, who had entered as a pinch runner in the 8-run 7th inning, added a homer in the 8th. Ben Sheets took the loss.
Game 3: Rhinos win 3-2 in 11 innings. The Rhinos finally scored their first run of the series in the 6th inning, but it was Hanley Ramirez who got the Rhinos into the win column. Ramirez homered in the 9th and the 11th, both off of Russ Springer. C.C. Sabathia went 2 innings for the win.
Game 4: Rhinos win 7-5 in 12 innings. Another extra inning game - another win for the Rhinos. Both teams hit 4 homers. The Pigs' Cody Ransom hit a 2-out homer in the top of the 9th to extend the game, but Alex Rodriguez hit a 2-run walk off homer in the 12th inning (his second HR of the game) to even up the series at 2 games apiece.
Game 5: Warpigs win 10-5. The Pigs pounded the Rhino pitching for 10 runs on 14 hits. Rich Harden allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and struck out 12 in 8 innings for the win.
Game 6: Warpigs win 4-2 in 11 innings. Cliff Lee took a no-hitter into the 6th inning, but it took a Cody Ransom walk off 2-run homer in the 11th inning to send the Warpigs to the World Series.
