Game 1- Scherzer and the pen held the Mavs scoreless, and the Zaps used
four solo bombs, two from Cutch, to take the opener 4-0.
Game 2-The Mavs pound Hamels with Ozuna cracking an Earl Weaver special
on the way to a 9-2 victory to even the series.
Game 3-Buchholz gave up three first inning runs, that was enough for
Greinke and to triumph 5-2.
Game 4-Homer Bailey outdueled Jon Niese behind Nick Castellanos three
RBI night in a reverse of the game three score.
Game 5-The Mavs handed closer Greg Holland a two-hit whitewash in the
9th, but the Zaps mounted a two-out, three-hit rally in the 9th for a
2-1 win.
Game 6-The Mavs just could not hit with men on base and ended up
stranding eleven in a 4-2 defeat.
Game 7-Greinke and Peralta dueled until the Zaps got three singles in
the sixth to take a slim 2-1 lead that the bullpen held onto to get a W
in the finale.
