This is a little odd.
In the first 13 years of NASOMA (1980-1992), the World Series was a 4-game sweep 4 times and a 7-game battle 7 times. That's 11 times in 13 years that the World Series went either 4 or 7 games.
In the 18 years since (1993-2010), there has been ONE year where the series went 7 games (2003) and ZERO sweeps. That's 17 times in the last 18 years that the World Series went either 5 or 6 games.
