Game 1 - Wahoos (ASanchez) at Warpigs (Wainwright)
Warpigs win 3-2 when Justin Morneau gets a +single in the 6th after Tulo tripled. Adam Wainwright went 6 innings for the win. Joe Smith earned the save.
Game 2 - Wahoos (Arrieta) at Warpigs (Lynn)
Warpigs win 4-0, holding the Hoos to 2 hits. Lance Lynn was pulled with 2 outs in the first inning after allowing back-to-back walks and Corey Seager due up. The Pigpen was near perfect the rest of the way, led by Aaron Loup (2 innings), Tom Wilhelmsen (2.1), Darren O'Day (3), and Pedro Strop, Sean Doolittle, and Joe Smith (a third of an inning each).
Game 3 - Warpigs (Richards) at Wahoos (Zimmermann)
Wahoos win 5-4. Seager tatered, but the key blow was a 2-out RBI triple by Adam Eaton to break a 4-4 tie in the 5th. Neither team scored after that. Dellin Betances went 3 innings for the win; Mark Melancon went the final 1.2 for the save.
Game 4 - Warpigs (Wainwright) at Wahoos (ASanchez)
The Wahoos led 1-0 going into the 9th. Anibal Sanchez had held the Pigs to ONE hit up to that point. Jake McGee pitched a perfect 8th for the Hoos, and Betances came on to start the 9th. Jayson Werth singled to start the inning, and when Cory Spangenberg came on to pinch run, Betances and his +7 hold was forced to exit. On came Melancon, who immediately got pinch-bunter Lance Lynn to pop up. Troy Tulowitzki and Francisco Cervelli were then hit with pitches to load the bases, but Melancon struck out A.J. Pollock for the second out. Still trailing 1-0, but with the bases loaded and 2 outs, the Pigs got an RBI single from Robinson Cano to tie the game, a 2-run single by Jon Jay to take the lead, and another 2-run single by Yadier Molina to chase Melancon. But the Pigs weren't finished. Adrian Beltre greeted Scott Atchison with an RBI triple, and Spangenberg, who had started it all by pinch running, hammered a 2-run homer. The Pigs had scored 8 runs in the top of the 9th, all with 2 outs. Pigs win 8-2.
Game 5 - Warpigs (Lynn) at Wahoos (Arrieta)
Adrian Beltre hit the 5-11 double off of Betances' card to spark a 4-run 7th. I honestly did not know Betances HAD a hit on his card. The Pigs win 5-2 to advance to the World Series.
