Wahoos win Game 1, 11-8.
Bees jumped to an 8-1 lead but the bullpen fell apart giving up homers to Werth
and Tex. Paulino threw 3 spotless innings of relief for the win.
Bees win Game 2, 10-7. Wahoos blew the lead this time as Samardjiza and
Mujica coughed up a 6-run 8th inning. After highlighting pregame festivities
with a tantalizing rendition of the national anthem, Carlos Santana hit a grand
slam.
Bees win Game 3, 16-6. Lots of runs early. 18 more hits for the Bees. How
does anybody consistently get this team out?
Wahoos win Game 4, 6-4. Chris Ianetta broke a 4-4 tie with a walk-off 2-run
homer off Farnsworth. Wahoos led most of the way until the Bees tied it in the
top of the ninth.
Bees win, 9-3. 13 more hits. Ian Kennedy went the distance and had 10
strike outs.
Bees outscore the Wahoos, 47-33, in the series. Bees hit .378 with 10
homers. But the 6.91 ERA wasn't so great. Wahoos hit .278 with 9 homers. And a
9.40 ERA.
