Games

Zaps 4, Tweeners 3

From the Tweeners...
Zaps take 4 of 7 at the Hooverdome. With all the locals consumed in preparation for the annual Tobacco Festival, no one in Logan County seemed to much give a shit about these games.

Fungoes finished up our 2008 home season with a 2-3 vs the Nads.

Nads take game one 2-1. Webb throws a strong 7 and Embree gest the win while Saito picks up the save. Nads score one in the 8th and one in the ninth to complete the comeback.

Fungoes win game two 6-5. Nads break out on top in the first with a four spot but can't hold on for the win. Zimmerman bang out a basses loaded single in the ninth to end it. Embree takes the loss. Zach Miner picks up the win.

Fungoes win game three 4-1. Bannister takes the loss while Jonathon Sanchez claims his second win of the year. Kevin Cameron picks up his first save.

Game four went to the Nads 10-3. Bannister throw a complete game and dominates the Fungoes. Left
fielder Pat Burrell had 4 hits and 4 RBI. A.J. Pierzynski hit a F-ing Grand Slam icing the game for the Naddies!

    Game five went like this:
46,008 fans (actually it was more like 46 fans) watched an exciting game at Pac Bell Park. The DAVE NADS topped
the DEREK FUNGOES by the slimmest of margins, 6 to 5.
DAVE won the game with a run in the 9th inning. After an out was recorded,
A.J. Pierzynski drew a walk. One out later, Cristian Guzman stepped up to
the plate and he tripled scoring the run. DAVE banged out 7 hits on the night.

Fungoes have only three remaining games and they are at DVs. Papelbon has saved 3 innings for the DV meister!!!
